I'm learning more about violence against women right now, and in particular what I'm wondering is: "Are the situations where women are harmed being recognized and put to a stop?". I was researching this question online and this article caught my eye because the title was "tackling gender-based violence" so I figured it had a lot to do with ending violence against women.
"Here, the violence-affected woman or girl has
the chance to have her case be investigated – and perpetrators of violence to be persecuted"
The quote I chose here is basically saying that when a girl gets raped stabbed or hurt in any way that their case should be recognized and investigated because that women or girl is still a human and should be treated like one. As I read on there has been 1777 rape cases and 803 have criminals have been convicted of those.
