THE EVOKE MANIFESTO

Our purpose is to save and improve the world and all of its occupants. We recognize no higher purpose then to address the issues facing humanity and the planet by whatever means necessary without recognizing any higher authority than our ability.

We will harness the power of the internet for communication and collaboration (and if necessary create our own version of the internet to ensure no possibility of interference).

The means we choose are whatever is appropriate for the given situation. We will employ all of our assets and knowledge to the problems that face us and the opportunities that may be seized.

Our members may wear a cloak of anonymity so they may be known purely by the light of their contributions.

EVOKE members do not want any individual recognition but instead only want publicity for EVOKE when it is deemed to further the cause of the organization.

The network operates based on the wisdom of its members to find and address problems in the world and make plans for a better future for humanity. All users are allowed to contribute (they may choose to cloak their identities or share them with the other members). Users stay in contact via an anonymous network and contribute to the various issues threads. They may decide to band together to address a particular issue in their area. By registering their intentions with EVOKE they may receive other offers of assistance and gain recognition for their work within the network so they can be called upon for future similar needs.

Members discuss issues of concern within the EVOKE network - depending on the sensitivity of the data it may be divulged directly to an inner circle member who will decide which members to bring into the discussion (normally the light of day is an aid but stealth is also an option especially for sensitive information/sources). Once an area is decided upon for action - either by EVOKE as a wh*** or by a smaller group of concerned members it is registered and a proposed plan of action is put forth. If the members agree to it they then set forth to implement their solution. The results are evaluated and further intervention may be called for. Lessons learned are posted to EVOKE as a wh*** (with details left out if necessary for security reasons).

We are concerned world citizens who want a chance to add their skills, labor, and expertise into make the world a better place. They see this as a chance to work outside bureaucracies and have a direct voice and a direct impact into the world of tomorrow, as well as address urgent issues that face the world today.

The world is in peril. People are dying every minute due to unequal access to the world's resources. We face potential disasters involving every area of human existence. These wrongs and problems cry out for solutions but every day people see societies ignore these real problems to deal with things of no importance. Endless resources go into wars and stock markets instead of helping humanity survive and flourish (which until we move off this planet requires us to keep it healthy as well). Members want to change that and not deal with all of the "you can't do that" messages that our bureaucracies constantly send. Being able to contribute at any age and in any area that you can show competence allows a new border free world to form.

Our members are determined to do good, without profit or fame. They want to make the world a better place and help those in need. They have a good deal of expertise which they want to share with the network. They are inventive and resourceful, and will always have an idea when faced with a problem and are happy to share all of their knowledge and insight without expectation of reward.

We choose a path of mystery in order to keep out the dull death that so many causes have succ**bed to. By clinging to our mystery and not allowing the world to know the half of what we are accomplishing we can leave them feeling a sense of awe at what we do show (and curious imagining of what we aren’t showing). By making EVOKE a mystery that does not have simple defined parameters it cannot be seen as just "another cause". By making it mysterious and open people are able to contribute without fear that their efforts will be stifled by bureaucracy.

A true meritocracy will allow everyone to contribute and the "mystery" keeps it so that your viewpoint is seen as valuable as anyone else's. With an expectation that a global organization is "watching" and no ability to know who may be working for "them", governments and businesses must rea****s the possibility of their actions gaining worldwide attention. The idea that wikileaks is magnified by millions as the EVOKE network evaluates each corporate and government decision and decides whether or not to start a worldwide campaign to call forth action to stop any wrongdoing in its tracks, may cause them to abandon negative courses of action for the world. By making the world know of its successes more and more will want to contribute to a brighter tomorrow without fear that their actions will merely be subverted by politicians or greed (as the endless charity scandals and backsliding campaign promises have taught us). By making it a show we draw in both members and audiences so that our actions are magnified by the judgments of billions. Just ten thousand EVOKE members can keep an article at the top of DIGG for long enough to force the mainstream media to at least notice it. We must make our causes worth caring about and keep the world believing that a brighter tomorrow is possible and they may have a hand in making it that way.
