Where are you?
Still in Lagos
Who are you eating with?
With family, on occasion with the neighbours, hardly, if ever, anywhere else.
Where did your food come from? How did you get it?
Bought fruit and veg locally and from a nearby market. Chances are it's been brought down from the North of the country - no change there. Food production in the 60s was over 50% of GDP, by the 1980s it was less than half. A lot of small scale farming goes on so I can still get corn from my neighbour's garden.
Who prepared it? What is the dish called? What does it taste like?
It tastes pretty much as it has always. I'm still eating the things I ate as a child, albeit in new dishes. Some things never change taste: rice, peanuts, plantain and yams among them.
I'm still making my own peanut butter. Beats the shop-produced stuff any day!
