one of my greatest frustrations with social innovators is that we often think we exist in a vacuum. That's not true. We should think of ourselves as a network, differentiating and trying to create different things, but utilizing one another as resources to push all of us forward. Take steps, share your steps and then utilize your network to help create your next step. Your team might be missing one piece that someone else can provide
People often give up on an idea though it's really good. They don't believe someone else might share the same thought. This is why, as you said, we should start building a network with people around us. Nowadays, it's even easier to contact each other via email, video chat, facebook...
