A crash course in changing the world.

Imagine 7 Urban Resilance April 15 2020 The dark side- Had to add again I deleted before!

Well the idiots went and did it. NO ONE would come together. No one saw
that we all matter and that each life touches the other. One argument
escalated to another. People could not overcome their egos and see that
there is a beautiful world out there. That an ocean of people could come
together in one massive wave and put aside differences. They flat out
forgot the word Love. So we don't really know how or who, some say they
heard a person with his own A bomb destroyed the Capitol others say it
was due to some conflict in the middle east started it. No one really
knows but we are all argued out and at this point in time the discussion
is moot. All lit took was one detonation and that detonation dominoed
into an all out Nuclear War. Thank God that we planned for this but on
the other hand life is very rough in the fallout shelter. The one thing
about this mess is that some of us got to the shelters in time but I do
not know if it is a curse or a blessing. What do we have outside these
walls? I cry when I can get a minuet to myself. I am trying to stay calm
because it helps others to stay calm. Oh man what I would give to just
be able to smell the sweet grass that perfumes the wind off of the
prairie. Yesterday we had to hold down a man to keep him from hurting
himself or others. He is claustrophobic, you see, and he just went the
freak off. It took seven people to do this. We couldn't sedate him we
have to r ashen the resources we have. Some of the people in the shelter
are showing signs of radiation sickness. I just do not know what we are
going to do. It is fortuitous that we are connected to communities of
other bomb shelters but societal norms disappeared like spit on a
griddle when the bombs came. We have to barter with some and defend
ourselves from others. It is tough to know when the line is crosses.
People were strange before...they are even stranger now. I wish I never
heard the word despot. We were not lucky enough to have a doctor so we
have to just guess as to what is wrong if someone is sick. A little girl
ate a bad can of peaches and she liked to died from the poison. I wish
that quality control was enforced in the making of this food. The
pressure is mounting not because they didnt pack enough food but what
the quality was. We are already afraid of what will happen to our
expectant mothers. They all have dark circles under their eyes and I
worry about the vitamins that they need. We are afraid for the babies.I
do not know how long we are going to survive in this cage we put
ourselves in. I thank God daily that we used alternative energies and
they came up with some kind of filters to keep out the radiation so we
can have manufactured air. It gets stuffy sometimes, Oh and thank the
Lord we have a plumber! One of our water mains busted and that was a
mess, Can you say nightmare? Our shelter almost became our coffin.
Cooler heads prevailed and we avoided a death at sea. I sure do miss
fried green tomatoes. Thank God, again, we have areas where our plants
are growing so we will have fresh vegetables soon. We have to wait
awhile on the fish tank however they are little just yet and haven.t
flourished yet. We see how precious the earth was and all the gifts we
were given from it with no payment or regard in return. It was the
ultimate rape of Mother Nature. I do not know how long some people will
continue in this confined space. We are on alert so that no one breaches
the doors and lets in the radioactivity. I heard whispers of assisted
suicide the other day and it scared the crap out of me. I am taking it
one day at a time and trying not to piss off the "tribe" members. We are
all walking a fine line and fate is fixing to reach down and shake it.
Well at least my puter works. I will post what our new "home" looks
like. There is no place like home. click click

What's wrong with a little tan? Myself, as a grade-A doomer... I'd be sticking it out on the surface. Doing it
"A Boy and His Dog" style.

I think its safe to say, that design is going to change a lot, as our buildings become more sustainable, this is
a great +1 vision of that ^_^

fallout!!

but really, excellent pics and content. I really like the plumber,
themes that everyone's skills are needed and that that's highlighted in
times of crises.

criticism: My eye's tell me to tell you that they are made sore by small
text and large paragraphs '_'

Nice stream-of-consciousness style. Ditto Jeremy's comment re: plumber and themes that all skills are needed
in crises. The flow of pics is also clever - from central circle to
little cubes to get the idea of layout...and an interesting, weirdly
pristine environment after the picture you paint with words.

I have copied the comments left for me by my fellow evokers and I dont know if I will get the points back that I lost but it is worth a try!

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

The meal

It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal. I walk to the fridge and open it to see what there is for me to eat. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Foods are vacc** sealded for easy…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
