Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

I've got a feeling... somebody's watching me... and it's awesome!

I'm so honored to have a small team of amazing EVOKE agents shadowing me for their Social Innovation ACT mission.

I want to help be a good mentor to shadow, so here's what I'm thinking:

I'd like to host a one-hour special Team EVOKE chat party for anyone shadowing me, so you can ask anything you want about game design, or anything else on your social-innovating mind.

I'll aim for a week or so from now, and hopefully this can inspire other social innovators being shadowed to offer up the same kind of fun, quickfire brain-picking party!

If you're shadowing someone else, you should see if you can find other EVOKE agents shadowing them, and put together a group request for a brain-picking party! Maybe ask for just 15 minutes of their time... you can learn a lot, and post the transcript on the network, too!

I'm shadowing you on twitter @avantgame does that count? I've got a question or two.

when geniuses talk, either they cause profound impact for mankind or simply disaster on a massive level. can't wait for you to open up and explain your notion of epic win and how it can certainly help the mankind. it will be very interesting i suppose.

Haha, I think disaster only comes when the "geniuses" take themselves to seriously.

Shadowing was the ACT2 mission, name a hero, describe, make a contact, etc. Or am I wrong?

Bucking the trend here and awarding you +1 courage for being willing to talk to all of us at once! All that energy in one chat room might cause an Internet black h***. Ooooh, maybe we could channel it to power our computers while we chat!

Fantastic! I can't wait!

What about opening a discussion about "how game developers see gamers' development" or something like that? I guess that, beyond a single chat episode, many would be pleased to talk with you (even not in real time), to know how you're experiencing the game and what it's producing, from the "other side".

Stefano, I love that type of subversive stuff! Great question! Perhaps you could start a blog and ask Jane to join you/us :) That way you can take a first stab at telling us what you've seen, since you seem to have already given this some thought.

Looking forward to it! Thanks Jane.

@Nicholas : I appreciate your proposal and interest. I'll wait some more time before starting the discussion myself, but I'll seriously think of it; I would have a feedback from developers before, but (@Panamericana) probably they won't answer to this.
I have the feeling that they're struggling to keep their mysterious, enlighted aura but they really do not have an idea about how to deal with the huge thing they managed to trigger. EVOKE is a kind of miracle in itself, but changing the world is way more difficult. Crowdsourcing is not, and hopefully will never be, crowdguiding (towards controlled aims)

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
