A crash course in changing the world.

Innovation (often) comes from constraint (If you’ve got very few resources, you’re forced to be very creative in using and reusing them.)

Innovation doesn't come from highly powered computers and infinite resources. Sometimes we may benefit from million dollar grants, and I am most definitely not saying all creative ideas can't be funded; but often people are led to believe since they don't have the proper money or people to do their objective it is an impossible task. What people must realize is that more then enough innovation comes from the heart and brain. When our abundance of resources are suddenly taken away, leavings us with only some of the bare staples for existence I think we would be surprised at how creative we would suddenly get. It's as if taking away all of the distractions, taking away things that often lead to to big thinking, or talking yourself out of it, we are narrowing it down to the most abundant resource we have, our brains. From this point we can easily expand, and possibly after creating a base for our solution bring back some key factors needed. Too many people often look at an object and see only one use for it, or think of it's use as a one time thing. But, if we are left with only that object our brains will undoubtedly figure out dozens of ways to use this object.
A perfect example of this is a boy, only fourteen, named William Kamkwamba. This teenager lived in a poverty stricken village and found a way to create a windmill using parts as simple as a bicycle chain, dynamo, and chain ring. He showed the world that creative thinking doesn't take thousands of dollars, and to get a result as effective as his doesn't mean you need a crew of ten or twenty. William is the poster human needed to show innovation. He took his bare essentials and turned them into an electricity bringing windmill. Now imagine this. Imagine if there were thousands, millions of Williams in the world, people willing to make a difference with hardly anything. More than 80% of the world lives on less then one dollar a day so it is obvious they simply can't be buying thousands of dollars of technology. In following years we must develop our nation, not just the ones that truly are limited to the bare essentials, to create innovation from constraint. We must, make a difference.

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
