A crash course in changing the world.
"think like a child – children have no limit to their thinking"
This reminds me of William Blake's poem "Auguries of Innocence". Here is an excerpt from the poem:
To see a world in a grain of sand,
And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour.
A child is the most powerful social innovator because s/he has one thing adults tend to forget as they grow - imagination. Adults will probably downplay radical ideas because they consider too many things. I do not blame adults...because they derive their decisions from their life experiences. And as life goes on, you will encounter more problems..more negativity...more "common sense". Plus they have immediate problems of reality they need to focus on.
It is not the fault of children either, as they have yet to experience the limitations of life. That is a good thing, actually. They are not limited to the box we call reality which we have confined ourselves into. Although it is impossible to become a child again (for now :P), each adult has a childhood they can tap for social innovation.
Therefore, we are all intrinsically social innovators. We are all capable of saving the world.
