Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

For it's next season, EVOKE should tackle problems related to children - like child slavery or poverty. Although child problems are closely related to world problems in general, they are a special target group who needs a lot of attention. Children are the ones who will built our future and therefore highly important. One has to show them how to live a respectful and useful life. Furthermore EVOKE could tackle problems which are related to globalization. In Europe, there are huge problems because of the Euro and the future of the European Union becomes more and more uncertain. Therefore it seems useful to me to think about what happens if supranational alliances fail.I also think EVOKE could implement some more detailed missions related to a certain person or a certain country. One could get the opportunity to get more into detail and maybe develop useful solutions.
EVOKE networks should exist all over the world. World problems can only be tackled if a variety of people from different nations and cultures with different point of views and knowledge work together. Most of all I think it is important that one covers developing countries as well as developed countries. Together they have good chances to solve the problems the world is facing right now.
It is the same with EVOKE players. I think you need a huge variety of different people to find the best solution. In addition I think it is important to make EVOKE more popular. Maybe EVOKE could become a much better platform to link "normal" people who deal with the world's problems as well as aid workers or politicians who have a greater knowledge how to implement ideas.
In my opinion the game itself does not need a lot of changes. I think it is a good way to first learn something about the problem, then act and do something against it and finally think about how things may be in the future. Nevertheless I would improve the platform because at the beginning I think it is not that easy to understand how it works. I also would facilitate the access to the game. Of course the results might become more confusing because one would not have that much control about who is playing the game. One could thin of other mechanisms how to grant that only people who are interested in the game play it. With an easier access the platform would become more popular.
I don't know which tools exactly would be great to have as an EVOKE agent. But maybe it would be encouraging to have special features an agent can get if he is very ambitious or has good ideas. Some kind of discussion function would be great because right now the conversation opportunities are very limited and restricted to the topics.
I would definitely come back for a second season. I have learned so much about issues I haven't thought about much before. And I definitely would want to get that chance again. I also like to read about what other people think about a problem and discuss with them about certain topics. EVOKE was not only able to make me think about world problems but also create a new heroic identity which was a lot of fun.

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
