A crash course in changing the world.
I chose the secret about "Managing Panic in a Pandemic" by Dori Reissman.
I think that i've chosen it because i totally agree with Reissmans statement that the word "panic" is used inflationary by the medias.
There might be a wrong prioritization by the most of the journalists, which could lead only to panic. They try to create the most promotional headline to get the highest number of sales. Instead of that they should focus of their core task and disseminate information.
Reissman gives a brief introduction to what should be observed in the dissemination of information in the event of a pandemic.
But her description of what she called "psycological first aid" is adaptable to all kinds of catastrophes. This isn't only a guide for journalists but also for all other persons who want to be prepared. It contains the five points of safety, calming, connection, efficacy and hope.
