Reading this mission made me think of a ton more than just what I'll be eating for dinner at this point in time. It made me think about family. I'm hoping at this point I will have started family as I'll be 31 by then. As of right now that's not quite in the prospects but hey the future is filled with surprises. But assuming this has worked out for me here's what I see me having in store.
We'll be sitting around the table, my husband, my 2 kids and myself. Our meal will be full of a bustle of conversation about the kids day's at school, my husbands day at work and our plans for the next coming day. On our table, we'll be having a pork roast, gotten from a local farmer, with a large garden salad, either bought from a local farmers market or grown in a garden in our back yard (the lettuce is probably from the farmers market, the other vegetables in the salad would be grown from our own personal garden). The dressing on the salad will be a homemade vinagerette. We will be drinking water instead of milk, soft drinks or juice as I will be adamant that water is the far better beverage for us both resource wise and for health's sake.
My husband and I will tag-team making dinner. He will cook the meat and I will prepare the salad. The dish wont have a specific name,as we've made everything to our own taste, which may vary from time to time. The salad has a slight spice to it with the fresh grown vegetables, along with a slight bitterness from the dressing. The pork will be tender and moist with flavourings of garlic and clove and thyme. Overall it is a successful dinner, and a great time spent together just me and my family.
