Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

My Dream of Ten Years From Now...

i sit in my fully sustainable and ecological house, full of the sounds of mirth and laughter of friends and family. i monitor the different projects that i have had the wonderful opportunity to be a part of using a holographic interface. most of these involve education and literacy in some form, whether it is investigating and spreading the truth or providing greater access to information and schooling. some involve political and social actions for standing up for equal rights around the globe. peace has been my preferred tool, but occasionally i have had to defend the rights of others in a physical manner, using special non-lethal technologies.

as i scan the different pages and banners, i notice the Urgent Evoke signal lighting up.

"calling all available Agents! priority one alert! the combination of a recent string of crop failures and natural disasters have led to a dire situation in Tokyo. as one of the most densely populated centers in the world, it is especially vulnerable to food shortages."

"well, first things first. i have strong ties to Japan and Korea, having lived and worked there for years, and will see what i can to at least provide an immediate relief to the people of Tokyo," i respond. "i had hoped that things would have recovered by now, but i saw this coming."

"well, that is a start. what else can you do?"

"i will use my emergency non-partisan information network to collect detailed statistics on the exact nature of the situation, including current population and remaining food stores. i will also use my educational network to relay this information to people not a part of Urgent Evoke. awareness should cause the mobilization of existing and creation of new grassroots organizations to help the situation. i will continue to research more ways of providing assistance. i leave it to the food and crop specialist Agents to develop direct long term solutions to this problem."

"excellent. i await updates on your progress."

i step downstairs; my friends and family can tell from the serious look on my face that i am now officially engaged in an Urgent Evoke mission. i apologize and excuse myself to act on my initial plans. another day, another Evoke.

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
