A crash course in changing the world.
Is it possible to narrow it down to an individual hero? Maybe, maybe not. I personally feel heros never stand alone, the creation of something great involves a comitted group effort.
Therefore my hero is not just a hero. My hero is a group of heroes.
My heroes are the creators, bloggers and followers of AfriGadget [www.afrigadget.com]. This is a site where thousands of people from around Africa contibute to create a massive hub of innovational ideas. With poverty, health, shelter, food and abuse all being to a degree part of the majority of the African people's lives, AfriGadget helps to make life just that little bit better.
Even ideas such as the water troughs made out of old tyres are important because even though it may seem obvious or 'normal,' this is an idea that someone else might not have thought of. It is pleasing to see the concept of recycling involved. This may help the lack of resources, and people might find they have more items they can reuse than they had thought possible. This can help take a little of the economic strain of the shoulders of the people.
AfriGadget solves little problems, increasing the quality of life and maybe, to a degree, the happiness factor.
My heroes are the people of AfriGadget,
