Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

I did not do exactly what the template wanted, but i did split the script into panels. I figure that powers that be can adjust it to their liking.. if they like this.

EPISODE 1

PANEL 1:

On a sunny, warm day in Washington DC, Agent ADW walks along the sidewalk through the city passing notable landmarks. She arrives on the street with many office buildings and the Washington Monument as a backdrop. She stops at a tall brick building with a plaque with a list of names and numbers besides it. She pauses to look at the list, and instantly opens the heavy door to the building. She walks through a big hallway with marble floors and bricks painted yellow on the wall, looking for the office of EDAC (Every Child Deserves a Chance) organization. A non-profit organization that helps children all over the world achieve a good education. Agent ADW peaks into an office with the door already open and sees a woman with brown and heavy eye wear with square rims, her name is Kathryn Bellow. Her office is covered with assorted papers and folders as if a filing cabinet threw up all over the office. The walls are decorated with posters stating the need for better education for children all over the world.

Agent ADW: " ahem... Kathryn Bellow?"

Kathryn looks up instantly at this stranger standing in her doorway. " Yes"

Agent ADW: " I am Agent ADW, from G.U.E.T ( Gameful Urgent Evoke Team). "

Kathryn: Her eyes widen with excitement:

" Oh Yes!.. Yes!.. please come on in!' she said excitedly, jumping out of her desk, and quickly running over to the leather padded chair , clearing off papers and folders.. " Please.. please sit... sorry about the mess."

Agent ADW: "Thank you.

PANEL 2:

Kathryn and Agent ADW sit across from each other ready to engage in conversation. Kathryn stares at Agent ADW intensely ready to make an important statement.

Kathryn: "Agent ADW, we have a big problem.. with education. she pulls out papers with a pie charts from of papers behind her, adjusting her gla**** and starts to talk with frustration

" The stats are leading us to believe that the state of education is almost all but lost. We need help. We need solutions or our children will have no future. We have kids graduating not being able to read on their level. Their math is below par. it's no secret a lack of education leads to crime and violence.. and that goes across the board. Not to mention, the lack of better job opportunities for these kids. Our children will have NO future. The problem is huge and we need you.. desperately."

Kathryn hands to Agent ADW a blue accordion style folder stuffed with papers.

Agent ADW: My team is ready to help.

PANEL 3

In a small village in Pakistan, with rolling emerald hills and a patchwork of farms scattered in the background. A young girl, Ashi, 14 years of age, sits under her favorite tree a few feet away from home. A special hiding place she can rest, read, and write. A strand of hair peaks out of her black hijab. She sits under the tree with her face buried in a book, her eyes moving fiercely through each page.

Azir ( Ashi's mom): "ASSHHHHHIIIIII.. Ashhhiiii!" She calls out as she steps out of her tiny stone cottage.

Ashi sits there, still reading until she hears footsteps up the small pebble path up to her hill.

Azir: " Ashi?, I was looking for you everywhere. What are you doing?

Ashi startled quickly hides her book behind her back.

Ashi: "umm, nothing just relaxing"

Azir looks at her supiciously and says :

" Ashi? what's behind your back?

Ashi looking down, feeling a sense of guilt and shame.

" nothing mother"

Azir: "Ashi, you can not fool me, please tell me what is that behind your back" She says sternly. " please give it to me." Azir holds out her hands that shows sign of hard labor.

Ashi slowly moves her arm from her back and hands her mother the book. Azir takes it and glances it, reading the summary.. The book is entitled " Lolita" . Azir gave a big sigh.

Azir: "Ashi, my child, this book is not for you to read. You know the law of our village. if they catch you reading this; there can be severe punishment. Do you understand this?"

Ashi stands up defiantly. " But mother, it's not fair! Boys can go to school, and learn. They can read and write. They find good jobs.. but we girls are forced to stay home, cook and clean, and not do much with our lives!." " I want to write.. I want to be a writer!" I want to learn other languages, and travel the world!" " I don't want to be in the house my entire life!"

Azir looks at her daughter with sympathy.. and places a gentle hand on her shoulder, as she pulls her close.

Azir: " my child, I wish nothing but the best for you. I want you to be able to do things that make you happy, but we are a part of this village and community now, and we must obide by the laws.

Ashi : " But we can move!"

Azir: Ashi, you're father must take care of the farm it is our lively hood and passed down through generations" " that would be out of the question."

Azir, gently tucks the loose piece of hair flying in Ashi face into her hijab. " I love you my sweet daughter, but there is not much we can do." She smiles at her. " We don't have much money."

" now come, we must prepare for dinner tonight."

The next morning, Ashi looks out her window and sees a group a boys with backpacks and school supplies heading to school..

Ashi: One.. day.. that will be me"

Your supper power is also writing and storytelling. Very well done! It should definitely be included.

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
