Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

I'm heading to work, early in the morning. The daily routine is about to begin; My wife and I have completed our early meditation and are enroute to the Dojo, which I own as a branch of Skilled Fighting Arts. I spend the majority of my days there, teaching others the principles of the martial arts that have enriched my own life, and helping to shape the future of those that train under me. With the right guidance, they might continue on to become a complete person--A feat much more difficult than becoming superhuman.

I'm still affiliated to some degree with Anonymous, though our goals only coincide on occasion. They're an interesting group of individuals, usually spending their time pretending they don't care about anything serious. In reality, they have a harder time turning their heads the other way than most people do, and when they take action, the world tends to notice.

It's likely later in the day when I find time to head into the office of the Dojo and check my email. My inbox is probably full of junk for the most part, but one message will catch me in particular; An evoke. Now.

I skim the basis of the evoke to get a good idea of what we're dealing with. The problem isn't the most important part of this equation, and it isn't to be focused upon; Just understood. The solution is the focal point. I'll call my wife into the office, and have her look over the evoke, and discuss for a moment any initial conversation points we have in regard to the issue. In the silence indicating a moment of deep thought, our eyes might wander to the Guy Fawkes masks that hang on the wall, just above the desk as a reminder of our prior operations involving the Church of Scientology; There's no room for those masks these days, except as a symbol to show support. These issues require faces, if for no other reason than to let the affected know that real people are there, and they really care.

That night will likely be a late one.

Thank you for this vision of the future.

I'm curious - do see any similarities between how Anonymous operates and how the Evoke Network works? Both are online collaborative projects - but with very different outlooks and philosophies, of course!

Anonymous and Evoke are interestingly similar, in that both groups are comprised of a mass amount of people who have probably never met each other, but can come together for a common goal. Anonymous often decides on a goal, and achieves this goal through the will of it's ranks with a strange degree of accuracy and speed in some cases, despite a lack of any sort of leadership. Through this lack of leadership, Anonymous becomes very difficult to control; Any goal pursued must be the goal of the collective. Morality is generally shunned to avoid developing a bias, and to further rid the group of the threat of control.

This differs from Evoke, where a mission is assigned from some sort of central figure. However, in the end, I see two identical groups, each seeking to see what it can change. The only difference lies in their aims, and even then, their aims are only marginally different. In recent history, Anonymous has fought against the Church of Scientology (for censorship of a free medium, as well as various abuses of staff members and crimes against humanity itself) Australia (for censorship of a free medium), and various individuals who have committed acts deemed by Anonymous to be particularly heinous; Such as a man who set his cat on fire and video taped the slow death of the animal. However, there is a duality in this organization that reflects the duality of man itself. It has, in the past, taken on some fairly dark objectives by the standards of most people; But these objectives are usually in the interests of ironic comedy, and very rarely just for the purpose of causing pain.

In the end, the main thing to understand about Anonymous itself is that the individual chooses for him/herself the operations that align with their own interests and goals, and they strive toward that. They aren't usually blind followers, taking on any goal placed before them. Rather, they join in an operation when the goals of Anonymous seem to meet the values and goals they themselves possess. Anonymous is not inherently evil, nor is it good; It's actions are not born out of hate or malice, nor out of benevolence. Anonymous is, and does, and that is all.

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
