Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

1. Experiences

During the last 10 weeks I manly made positive experiences with EVOKE. Especially interesting form e were all the information about the different countries, cultures and problems which you can get as well out of the Blogs, as through the links which are given each week for your week mission. I will treasure a lot of them and I have subscribed a lot of newspapers to keep informed about the progress of some project. The motivation and passion of a lot of EVOKE actors makes EVOKE to pot of hope and boldness for all the people who are directly concerned and know the best, what it means to have no fresh water, to be penalized cause of your gender or to life in a part in the world without any social coverage. EVOKE can be a jar of gold for them.
Notably interesting for me was week 7. Because of the learn mission you was destined to concern about the place you live and to care about the peripherals around you and you are also urged not to shout always about gormless signal lights or absurd building projects, but rather to inform yourself about the longtime planning of your hometown. I can understand much more correlations now. Oberasbach, my hometown, is a very young city (about 20 years old). Cause of this it is especially interesting because Oberasbach is designing its first developing plan now.
Unfortunately, and that was my negative experience, it is nearly impossible to follow discussions around single posts or to follow the ideas up. And there are also a lot of “bondage actors” (especially school cla****), who regrettably don’t give much information (or really no information). This often annoys reading the blog posts. Administrators could help to keep those posts out of the forum.

2. Motivation

I think, that motivation can be increased, if you could reach a higher level of Missions, when you have earned enough achievements, perhaps something like a bonus challenge, etc. At the moment your achievements are just a number without any caliber for you and it doesn’t give you any appeal to deal a little bit more with the problems.
Regrettably the postings of the last year still exist. I think generating new ideas and suggestions is affected by the posts of last year and also avoided. Already during your own search for information you are embossed and shortened on a certain manner. Also it is often not possible to read more about their ideas because the actors are inactive and don’t answer.

3. Solving the Missions

Cause of the given links you can get a first overview about the problem quickly. So the introduction in the question was easy to find. Unfortunately, a lot of missions doesn’t affect us here in Germany. And so it is very difficult to find a solution for the problem. You can only assume what people in this situation might need and try to apply the solution which is helpful for your country to foreign countries. I don’t think that this can offer any real help for the people there.

4. Happening

For the solution of one Mission I wrote an e-mail to a producer of piece of sports equipment. I wanted to know, why a stepper needs additional energy to drive the training-display. Why can the power you produce during your training not be used? I got a very detailed explanation only two days later and with this Mail a lot of information about the sustainability program of the concern. It surprised and pleased me to see, that there still exist firms which are really persuaded of their products and try to think long lasting.

5. Game Mechanism

I really enjoyed reading the comics. It is a good idea to give a real story around the missions you have to solve. The Blogs and stories were very interesting; they also helped me to find an introduction in the duty. Furthermore I like the opportunity to give other Actors achievements for their ideas. You can honor the power they use to find a solution or if they helped you not to give up and to work on your plan. And it also motivates you to know, that you will get achievements from other actors. The sequence of the Mission and Quests was very helpful. From week to week you learned more about the world, your periphery and also, while solving the Quests, about yourself. This was a very interesting 10 weeks journey.
The personal profile was not very interesting for me, I think, that the Quests are much more informative. Also the leaderclouds. It doesn’t motivate me to read my name there and also the other names in interests me. For me, EVOKE is a team game, so I don’t need this information.

For the next session I would wish youth criminality, increasing attendance to violence, controlling possibilities against internet crimes (especially for young people), the secure of development aid projects against attacks and the fight against corruption.

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
