So I really like the idea of integrating the natural world into the way we design homes, energy, everything. We should be using deserts and windy mountaintops and ocean waves to our and the environments advantage. Cooperation, as it were. I found a cool company called Voltree Power. Basically, there is a small electrical differential between tree roots and the soil, something about the pH difference. So far they can only produce 200 millivolts, however even that small amount is enough to power some pretty incredible and helpful sensors. Forest fire sensors that never need a battery change for example. What could we learn about our world if we came up with some creative sensors that have the potential to plug into plant life everywhere?
