Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

3-10-2020: My family and I are sitting in our kitchen having a lunch. It is all vegetarian and almost vegan.

When I look at my dish, I try to remember when I ate my last steak. It was a long time ago.
Today I am non vegetarian. But I try to it meat less frequent. But there will be a process over the next years that I go without any meat.

It will be not that hard to chance eating habit. All the people around me will chance their behaviour. I won’t demand on vegetarian food on dinners with friends or family. But this won’t be a problem in the medium term. Meat won’t be so important in the future for all the society in industrialized countries.The people will learn to live without.

There will be lots of food scandals the next years. Those are often related to meat. And in general the scandals bring people to think about their food and health.

Prices on the globalized food market will rise for a long term. This is based on rising food and especially meat demand from huge countries like China or India. Natural catastrophes cause crop failure. There will be more droughts.

Resources needed for food production will be rare. There are less water reservoirs, commodity prices will rise and therefore prices for fertiliser, too. Deposits for fossil fuels like coal, oil, and gas run short. This lead to expensive fuel for farm machines etc.. A huge amount of land will be needed for renewable energy sources.

All this facts result in a social change. Companies will realise the potential of vegetarian food. New products will become accepted. They invent more elaborated vegetarian steaks and schnitzels for people who need a long time to change their behaviour.

Companies start to produce artificial meat, being much more efficient, but there won’t be that much demand for it.

For my kids meat will be irrelevant. There won’t be meat for lunch at home or kindergarten. And it will have been easy to chance fried products like fish sticks or chicken nuggets to a vegetarian basis ;)

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
