A crash course in changing the world.
For centuries, we have believed that clean water will always be abundant but as time continues it is becoming more and more apparent that our water resources are draining (literally). One fantastic idea on how to make clean water, based on our current conditions, is to utilize technology that improves recycling of wastewater and sewage treatment so that water can be used for nonpersonal uses such as irrigation or industrial purposes.
Currently, chemicals and runoffs from agricultural land use are contaminated our aquifers. We must use the water that is not contaminated yet and keep it safe. Recycled water could even resupply aquifers. But very effective purification methods and rigorous safeguards are necessary to preserve the safety of recycled water. Some technology such as nano filtration membranes may even be designed to remove specific pollutants while allowing important nutrients to pass through.
