A crash course in changing the world.
It seems that sometimes we may underestimate the part that children can play in shaping and changing our world. They're too innocent and naive to see all the issues and problems we face in this world, some of us might think. But is this really the case? Should we really remove them from the solution if they have the greatest potential to contribute to change? Children are after all our future, and as such they themselves hold the key to making our world a better place. Now, this may sound like a silly idea, but if you think of it, a child's mind is so impressionable and curious, they are eager to learn. If we were to channel their boundless creativity and ingenuity into harnessing a generation capable of creating social change for the future, this could change everything. Children have no limit to their thinking. You can tell them a story about trees getting chopped down, these children will feel for the forest just as much or MORE than an adult could be capable of.. their minds are youthful and most importantly, hopeful. If you ask that class of children to help you save the forest, those children could come up with some amazing ideas and ways they could get involved. Age won't hinder them from trying to make a difference. They can teach everyone of us, those of us who have become skeptical, pessismists, distressed for the future, that there is hope. The hope is in these children because if we teach them to be aware of their world, they will think beyond the limits, we are constrained by, and they can make a difference for their future. Children can come up with solutions. So now... why don't we all think like a child? Let our thinking be limitless, because this is the best way to learn and to truly see the difference you can make in the world, this is how WE can change the world.
