Foster Girl Sports!
Recently I met a girl who is very enthusiastic about sports. She wants to start up a sports academy for girls to learn the different sports. The academy will also be open to boy even though she encourages girls to join in particular. Apparently she is tennis player.
When we talked, I felt so touched about her project that she intends to start. I encouraged her to take it on. She however told me that she needed some support to get the sports wear, and some basic equipment the girls will need to practice and learn the different sports (footballs, basket balls, jerseys, rackets, tennis balls, volley balls, net balls) . I promised to promote her project and see what she can make out of it. Thats one of the reasons as to why I am writing this article!
I think sports is really a great activity for girls as it is for the boys. Helps build ones capacity mentally, physically and socially. Look at the element of team work, participation, courage and collaboration. Of course not forgetting the fact that it helps to build the talents of children.
In Uganda sports is mainly dominated by the boys. What is Gender Equality them?
I believe that the girls need to be empowered through sports! Her project is set to change all that. :)

The meal
It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal.
