If you don't know, I go to art school and yesturday we had a guest speaker, Hoon Kim. Hoon Kim is a Korean graphic designer who does amazing work using sight and sound to display information. One of the works that he presented in his talk was a new system to depict value using sound and color. The system is based on current US currency but I can easily imagine it representing the credit. Whenever a transaction is made a series of tones is created that represent the value of the purchase or sale (5 cents being a low quiet tone, 100$ being a high frequency loud tone) also their are color bars which also use a similar system (low value = cold color, high value = warm color)
Hoon calls the system e100 and you can see it on his site here:
http://whynotsmile.com/I can't link you straight to his work but if you go under NEW MEDIA and then scroll down you will see it.
This project was part of his graduate work at the Rhodes Island School of Design (Generally considered the best American art school). He also created a short video that shows a transaction in action--
check it out here.
Despite it's hangups I love this system for the playful use of sound and color.
Would love comments but don't powervote anything but Knowledgeshare on this evidence because it's not my work.
