What does your city look like at the end of 10 years of resilience development? What important new buildings, spaces, and neighborhoods exist?
For this mission, make a map of your city highlighting all of its new, resilient features in the year 2020.
You can work from a printed map -- cut it up, draw on top of it, add new labels, whatever it takes to show your future vision.
Or, make a digital map -- you can use Google maps, for example. Find out more about about how to use Google Map Maker here, or watch the video below.

In my city, we will use solar and wind energy to power EVERYTHING. There will be solar rooftops on every house and building as well as solar energy to power our cars. We will be the richest community because we wont have to power the city with companies like GRU.
we will actually obey our building codes so we will be safer
In my city we have gone to solar energy and we have figured out how to make energy from things we use every day.
In 2020, the world will have converted to hyrdo electricity. We will be using this to wath television, power vehicles, ect.
In 2020, Atlanta, GA will have more renewable energy sources, and we will be more conservative with our fresh water and be more savvy with the choices we make economically.
In 2020, my city will have solar panels, rooftop gardens, and water reserves. It will also have new healthcare trainings, shelters, and run on renewable energy.
Charleston, SC is better prepared for Hurricane disasters since FEMA and local governments learned their lessons from Hurricanes Sandy in NY and Katrina in the American south east

My city will have buildings with solar panels, gardens on roofs of houses, and the cars will run on an alternative fuel.
My city will have clean food and water. It will also have very advanced technology, but every thing will run on solar energy and other renewable sources of energy.
My city will have large portions of world reasourses with an ultimate key location and the latest technology.
My city will have fresh foods and water . I would like new technology advances that help people keep up with the food and water and so they know if it is healthy or not.
My watecity will be technologically improved with new ways to communitcate and get online. It will have a easr supply fro farming, selling crops, and drinking it. The house will run off solar energy and other cheap fuels.
My city will have some inner rural areas for crop crowing so that people can get fresh crops. There will me underground, watertight bunkers that can hold 5,000 people and/or animals at once. In the bunkers, which are all connected, there will also be the dried food (the kind that astronauts eat) and a way to grow food. Above ground, the multifamily houses sit low and have two layers: the outer layer, a simple wall made out of bricks, and the inner layer, the living area connected to a cellar with watertight seals for the door. Buildings that are more than 5 stories have ball bearings so that they can wave slightly in strong winds, hurricanes, or earthquakes, preventing collapses. Water sources are filtered and constantly monitored my trained personnel and their machines to prevent spills or contamination.
Around the outer edges of the city, there are three walls that stretch 300 feet up, layered with steel, iron, and rock. The doors are all 300-500 feet away from each other, and there is only one door for each wall. There are military personnel standing by to prevent invasion of any kind. In bunkers and in every region of the city, there is a contamination prevention center where people of all ages go every month to be tested for various diseases. In times of disaster, people go there once a week.
As for transportation, it is mainly made up of horses and bikes. We do not rely too much on oil/petroleum. People do not have individual houses, but large mansions where several families can live at once. Of course, they all live in their own quarters, but there are only two 'fireplaces', which are actually using heat from the sun to warm the house. In the warmer months, people use massive solar panels to power AC systems.
My city will be prepared for everything. There will be an amazing energy source that will come from a bunch of hybrid mouses running on wheels. We will educate with brain technology such as mind senders that send information telepathically.
My city will be prepared for anything. It will have a good energy source to rely on. It will also be very well educated and prepared for any situation with drills. It will also be stylish and original. It will also be up to date on everything including technology.
