Water For People is a wonderful organization. It helps people in developing countries improve the quality of life by supporting drinking water resources, sanitation facilities, and hygiene education programs. 783 million people don't have access to clean drinking water and 2.5 billion don't have clean facilities. Every day 6,000 people die from water-related illnesses, and the majority are children. In my opinion, I think that if we spend time making more organizations based on Water For People we could decrease the amount of unclean water.

i would donate to multiple organizations. i would do this because i want to help the world change in their sanity of water and the amount of water people have.

I found Water for People. This orginization is a huge inspiration and makes a huge difference in the lives of many countries that need help. They make it known how serious other countries cases are and they try to replenish the water and lend a helping hand

I found the Changemakers and they are globaly trying to help with water sanitation and make drinking water safer. They are accepting ideas for plans on how to stop it and so, maybe I'll give them some ideas.

Water For People helps people in developing countries improve quality of life by supporting the development of locally sustainable drinking water resources, sanitation facilities and hygiene education programs. I would help by donating in any possible way and try to not pollute water.

I already ave ties to an organization called Mundito that helps partly with water sanitation and helps to keep clean water out of sewage lines and helps to purify it for drinking. I donate to them sometimes so maybe I'll donate more often now!

I would find a way so that we can pump for clean water but still let it replenish itself. I will also join a water security organization.

I would do many things to help water security. I would probably find new ways to pump clean water from underground.

Comment by Christian Sutton on October 30, 2012 at 10:06pm

I would donate to a local organization to help water security.

ACT 4

Every German uses about 162 litre of water during the day. That means depicted a filled bathtub. One single toilet flush in the industrialised countries consumes as much water as one person in a developing country has at his/her disposal for washing, drinking and cooking per day. So this facts put me in a refelctive mood. One way of responding to this could be the use of special water-saving toilets and showers, repair of seals and use of rainwater could be only some small improvements. During the research I came across with some creative ideas which connect art and treatment of nature and natural resources.
For me particularly effective is the concept of the designer Yonggu Do, Dohyung Kim und Sewon Oh. Here the water consumption is particularly evident. Exactly 1 litre water fits inside this armature, sufficient for a quick handwash.

The theory being that we waste almost six liters of water and use only one, while washing hands. Once the stored one-liter is used up, you have to turn-off the tap till the next one liter fills up the tube.

I found this add/shot dok**entary that a water company called Nika Water has done. It's very interresting.
Nika Water presents the "Water Crisis". This video represents the current problem facing millions of people around the world who suffer from lack of clean water and sanitation and are killed from water related diseases. Nika hopes to bring a voice to those who suffer by raising awareness and donating 100% of proceeds to communities in need.

In the big city Aarhus in Denmark, they are sustainable, because they have a program called "Vand Vission 2100"
-In Aarhus all the water comes from the local waterwork, and the water is cleaned and re-used in a enviroment friendly way. Hopefully the rest of Denmark will follow, and become an environmentally friendly country!

Hardly visionary - but, I think, continually asking the water companies here in the UK to stop leaks, to measure the actual use of water in houses, to reduce the waste of water - will all add up. I have been trying this sort of thing for 20 years and when I started there was no talk of water meters or water saving washing machines, low water showers or even showers at all. All these things are slowly coming through, nudged along by millions of small pushes and one very big pull - the knowledge, the feeling that the way we are doing things at the moment is simply - stupid.

Seems like a good start, as far as helping the environment goes on this issue, would be to stop purchasing bottled water and start filtering our tap water. This would at least cut back on the plastic bottles that get tossed away.

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
