Today I told everybody at my work as well as my patients about countries like indonesia, south africa and many other counrtires like it who are suffering from water borne illnesses that kill and badly danger each day. Also I signed up at Liveearth.com, which is a nonprofit organization that holds walks all over the world raising money for countries water supplies.

We are very effective staying where we live and spreading the word and giving financially. Don't feel bad if you can't travel to a distant place, your money is well spent from home (without the airfare cost). It is great to go abroad and someone needs to go and see what is really needed, but not all of us. So Jennifer, be excited about your contribution.

Besides giving my students reusable water bottles, Jeff and Courtney Hogue, in Cambodia, have a great project that includes giving out 10 gal water jugs with filters and a spigot at the bottom. If you are interested in their project, they are at jeff.hogue@worldteam.org

I brought my husband 5 water filters for his birthday. They were place in a neighbor in Indonesia (where we live) that lacks portable water. The filters were brought from Watsan http://www.watsan.com/index.html. This organization also does teaching and learning about water with our middle school at Jakarta International School

I will donate to Children's Hunger Relief Fund project that provides access to safe drinking water for families, communities, children's homes and schools.

I love the idea of playing, and making something positive happen - like the play pump, and this game...

It was very interesting to read about the projects being undertaken in India, Africa, among others. The "changemakers - water and sanitation challenge" involves local women along with support from political leadership and the government.

I too lack clarity. But perhaps that is the purpose of this exercise. I would like to know that I can provide my own water, even if all else fails. I suppose I could heat water in my wood stove. I like to know more about those children play and create a water pump. This could be used for small farming where water is not available.

I found three projects based in Mexico, where I live, but as these are in other states I don't see how I can get involved in them or be of any help. In the area where I live the problem is more about people wasting water, a project to reuse water would be perfect. I’m looking for an organization that could give professional assistance to this kind of project.

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
