"Thanks! I followed some of the links at Youtube for some more instructive videos, especially the one using the plastic bottle, and I'm planning on trying this as soon as I can get some sand. Cool!"

The "Savior Bud", working with nature to obtain water - LEARN4

I first thought to write about Michel Pritchard's water bottle. I found his presentation in Ted Talks, and for me is a great and simple idea, that can really improve the life of a lot of people. But then I figured that he's bottle water is already popular (he's been on TED talks) so why no try harder and find some other invention? So there I was surfing the web, asking some friends when I found the Savior Bud idea.…See More

New forms of using money: roadway community banking

For this task first I tried the easy ones (I'm being honest) and donate some bucks for sometostart or countinue their business, but then I realize that because I live in Mexico is really hard to donate through a site like Kive. Then I choose to buy something with paypal, but is the same issue: because I don't have an adress in the states is really hard for me to have an account.

So what did I do? well, as Alchimist recomended in the mission, I join forces with some of my friends to…

Ring ring money

After reading all the visions about the future of money I have to say that the one that seems to me is going to have the biggest impact in our economic systems is goin to be the electronic money, which we can transfer and make payments through our phones.

When paypal, twitpay and all the others get really connected, we are going to be able to go to a store only with our cell phone, send a twit to the store and voila everything is paid.

Our cell phone is going to…

Water Day 2020 - IMAGINE4

Ok. Ten years have passed since the day I was put in charge of planning Water Day Celebretion for 2020.

Through all those years I've been learning a lot about the water crisis that the world used to have. Now, thanks to social innovators, and the people that supported them, we have solutions to the water problem.

Africa, Latinamerica an South Asia now have a growing rate of access to clean and safe water. Everyday more and more people in those regions have a better quality of…

Helping ProNatura - ACT4

in Mexico we are not yet conscious about the water problem, maybe because we are sourrounded by water and have a lot of rivers and so; maybe because we suffered flods every year; or maybe because 88% of the population has access to safe water.

But people doesn't realize that every year more and more sectors in big cities (Mexico City and Monterrey) have shortages or cut downs every now and then through the week.

And Mexcio face another problem: the end of natural oasis…

Listen to the Right People

It's impossible to find a good solution to a problem you don't understand. I think that the first place to start when looking for a solution is understanding the problem by listening to the people it impacts the most. The knowledge one gains creates a foundation for a solution to be built on.Listening to the right people also leads to understanding the circ***tances of the problem: what other social, cultural or political elements contribute to this problem? What has already been tried? Who…See More
