In Germany we don't suffer from food insecurity. Blessedly we are able to cover the Germans' food requirements to 90% by ourselves. Nonetheless there are families that don't have enough to eat due to unemployment and poverty. The surplus of food that gets thrown away could be used to support these families. Therefore we could collect this food in official sites and provide ration stamps to poor people to purchase the food they need.
