community garden as social agent

10 years from today... our garden will be the pilot for community gardens in every neighborhood.

The garden will be a lesson for everybody. Showing how people can take charge of their life, their community and their enviroment.

It won't be easy. I know we'll face vandalism, despair and apathy.

Here comes our community garden

I Started to research around the local websites.
I heard about a women who planes to create a community garden.
I found her. sent a messege. we talked on the phone that same day.
I visited the site on friday. It's an old shooting range.
We, the school, will have our little acre.
I'm glad to say we'll start working in the garden this year and not wait for next year - in september.

It is one of my biggest problems as a teacher. I know where I want to go in my first steps, but I don't know where I want to be.
My school counselor asked few days ago: "what do you want to do when you'll be older?"
I answered I don't know.
There are all kind of things I want to learn, but I'm not fixed on anything yet.
Time will tell.
