hero

The persons I choose to follow is Aviva Presser Aiden & Hugo Van Vuuren. They are a team who are working on creating microbial fuel cell. This cell is to meet the needs of off-grid lighting and energy in the developing world. It can power anything from cellphones to radios. Finding alternative fuel sources is very important for our continued development and survival and that is why I picked them. I am following them on their blog.

My Hero

My hero would have to be my Uncle Ches. He is currently working on obtaining his automotive mechanic certification. My uncle retired from the military almost 10 years ago. Instead of taking a very high paying military consulting/contractor job he chose to teach middle school. After e few years of doing so he felt a calling to the automotive field. His father owned a truck stop while he was growing up so I think it runs in his blood. After my uncle completes his automotive certificate he…

Roger Moore

I choose Roger Moore to shadow. I like him very much and he is quite pleasant. He engages in the UNESCO and in his own words that this is the most important thing he ever did. The world needs more of those people who do not rest on their achievements, but try to improve our community. He was a very successful actor and could have enjoyed the years after his career and not care about those things. But like many other important people in the retirement he uses his time to help our community…

Mission 1

My role model is my uncle David. In the Christchurch earthquake, he was awarded a medal of bravery for saving people in the CTV building (a very damaged building in the CBD) and he showed extreme commitment by trying to save those people's lives, even if it sometimes wasn't successful. He works as a counciller and he helps people sort out their troubles and worries. To me that is a very important job and he is an amazing role model to me.

Narayanan Krishnan

He's just an ordinary person. He's not famous, not rich, but with his time and talent, he shows one can make a big difference. Narayanan Krishnan was an award-winning chef at Switzerland working at a 5-star hotel. He had a good job, was middle-class, and was living life great, but in 2002, he went to visit his home in India, and saw a man under a bridge eating his own human waste. He said “I saw a very old man eating his own human waste for food. It really hurt me so much. I was literally…

A Hero

For me,it is difficult to choose a certain person as a hero.

I have read some articles about many people who are committed to improve the world and to tackle the world's biggest problems with creative solutions and entrepreneurial ventures. I'm amazed how many there are.

I can well imagine that it is very difficult to follow his goal respectively his wishes, because there are many problems which can arise.

So for me is a hero a human, who doesn't readily let things get him…

The following person is one of many who are socially engaged. But he has found a solution to combine school and play with each other. The hero i have chosen is George Weah from Liberia. He grew up in a slum near Monrovia and escaped poverty with play football in europe. In 1994 he founded a football club to to encourage young people to remain in school. The club is the only requirement for membership is school attendance. In my opinion is the combination from school and play a wonderful kind…

Open Gates to give Hope

It might sound funny, but my hero is known as man who changed the world, but not like you would think.

He founded Microsoft and gave us Windows. He has named the wealthiest man in the world for serveral times.

His name is of course Bill Gates. Maybe he is a controverse entrepreneur, but this doensn't matter to me. It's his effort and persistence (, his money ...) that makes him -and of course his wife- important to the world. The Bill & Melinda Gates foundation promotes…

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. I walk to the fridge and open it to see what there is for me to eat. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
