Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

I decided to write about the development of Fürth, because Oberasbach is really not interesting…Fürth is a middle sized city with a high part of foreigners. That’s why Fürth hast not really much money. But they use it very effective! About 15 years ago, Fürth decided to spend more money in renewable energy, especially in solar energy. And so in 2002 they joined in the German Bundes League of solar energy! 2007 they reached place 3 in Germany! And in the Photovoltaic Bundes League they are on the first position! I think that is a great result for Fürth, especially by comparison which cities that have much more income.

At the moment Fürth has over 500 solar plants and produces more than 9 million kW energy each year. For the next years, Fürth plans to obtain its wh*** energy demand for hospitals and old-age homes from solar energy.

I asked three people living in or next to Fürth to give me a short statement about this. I have no video camera, so I do it on “classic way”, with a pen and a paper. They don’t want their names in the internet and so I name them A, B and C.

Do you know solar Bundes League before?

A: no
B: I think I heard of before, but I don’t really remember
C: No, I’ve never heard of this

Do you like this idea?

A: Yes, I think this is a great possibility for comparing with others
B: I think so, but I was unconcerned about that before
C: Hm, Yes

Why do you think this is a good/ bad idea?

A: I think this is great to show the progress that Fürth made the last years in solar energy. And it’s also a special motivation because you have a direct compare with other cities in the same size. So it’s also a motivation.
B: Well, you can see if we have any pent-up demand to other cities
C: I think that you can compare the solar-progress on this way and it offers a summery. It also can be a motivation. And people will get a felling for the activities of their city on this way

How do you stand by renewable energy in wh***?

A: Positive, I think that nuclear energy can’t be our source of energy for this century
B: Well, that’s the only future we have!
C: I’m very interested and I inform myself regularly about the progress of alternative technologies

How do you stand especially by photovoltaic/ solar energy?

A: At the moment I think that it is too expensive in Relation to the outcome. We need more progress in this technology in the next years when we want to use it regularly.
B: I don’t think that this technology will make sense. We should not spend money in research and development. I think that Desertec is the future of solar and photovoltaic energy.
C: well, I think that solar energy has more chances for the future than photovoltaic. It isn’t as much developed at the moment as we can use it effective.

Do you think that the Solar Bundes League is a motivation for the city/ companies/ privates?

A: I think for all
B: I think only for the city. Others don’t have any use of it.
C: not really for privates and companies. Only if they get offered some money or prestige. But for a city I think this is a motivation to invest more money in alternative energies

Are you proud of the good ranking of Fürth in Solar Bundes League?

A: Yes, I am
B: No, I’m neutral in relation to this
C: well, not really. But I’m happy about this

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

The meal

It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal. I walk to the fridge and open it to see what there is for me to eat. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
