A crash course in changing the world.
In 2020...
..when Alchemy calls me I will be living in a troubeled world. Europe will be facing a severe economic crises caused by the instability of the common currency. With the breakdown of Greece in 2013 and the economic collaps of Italy and Spain in 2015 the dream of the common european currency finally died in 2016 when four european countries left the Eurozone for their own good and three more followed soon. The remaining countries are struggeling to protect their economy from the catastrophic economic situation all over Europe. Luckily I will still be living in Germany, the one country that wasnt virtually torn apart by the crises (unlike Greece where the GDP in 2020 is 20% of what it used to be in 2010). Still the economic crises will affect everybodys daily life. I will be having a job in a leading position of an industrial company but even though I will be earning a decent salary, the fear of a climax of the omnipresent crisis will leave a constant feeling of insecurity.
Note: Dont get me wrong, I'm not a notorious pessimist or something. Neither am I sure that the future will look like this (hope it doesnt) but as there are quite some major problems Europe will have to deal with in the near future. I think I have outlined something like the worst case scenario and would be really interested in reading your opinions! What do you think?

Fourth of July on the Lake
This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The meal
It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal. I walk to the fridge and open it to see what there is for me to eat.
