In my community, there is a program which I am a part of called Meals on Wheels, which helps bring food to senior citizens who aren't able to prepare food for themselves. The way it works is that there's a kitchen where the delivery team goes to to pick up the meals, some hot and some cold for the next day. Then the delivery team goes out and delivers the meals to the senior citizens who aren't able to make or prepare their own food for themselves. After we're done on our "route", we take the hot bags and coolers back to the Meals on Wheels headquarters and finish up our day. It only takes about an hour and a half to two hours to complete a route, and we get hot meals to people in need. I'm glad to be able to participate in a program that can help stop hunger.
