Pay It Forward

Yesterday I cleaned the kitchen for my parents without them asking or realizing that I was going to do it, and in return they giving me some money to go shopping that I can buy CD's with. If you do acts of kindness for another, it is all too often that they will return the favor and do something kind for you, often with you even asking! If this were to happen on a global scale, people would be much more friendlier to one another, and possibly much more could get done! Pay It Forward, starring… Continue

Transferring Money - Simple and Easy

Michael Ivey has an idea that transferring money and paying people should be as easy as sending a twitter message on your iPhone. Many people get direct deposit or a check handed to them from their employer, but Michael's solution sees the future of how money can be transferred, and valuable resources could be saved in the process.

With Twitpay, Michael has linked his PayPal account to his twitter account, and today the service has almost 15,000 users.

"Moving money, once a function… Continue

Water Movie

I plan to use my talents in filmmaking to make a water related movie that has water as part of the major plot-line. Through my resources I will have famous actors act in the movie and it will spread around the world. The movie will be about a shortage of water supply, and at the end there will be a water-awareness related activity that would make the viewer realize that this problem was real. It will take place in a third world country (or at least part of it) and the other part will take place… Continue

Colorado Climber's Three-Year Expedition

Internationally acclaimed mountain climber Jake Norton is hoping to raise water awareness by climbing each of the Triple Seven Summits, the three highest peaks on each continent.

He hopes to raise at least $2.1 million dollars and have 2.1 million people recognize his achievement and become interested in water awareness.

"If people are fetching water all day, they can't attend school. If they're dying of water related illness before they get to school, library, or computer, nothing… Continue

Birthday Amusement Park Party

In 2020, I'll be celebrating my child's birthday at an amusement park that's powered entirely renewable resources. The Solar Panels power all of the concession stands where we buy our food, the concussions from the go-karts power themselves, the rides rolling along the track creates the energy necessary for those rides to function, and the running of the water in the water slide creates force when pushed by the people at the end of the waterslide that powers the flow of water on those… Continue

Energy Conducting Stairs

Every time I walk up the stairs at my house, the pressure from my footsteps creates energy that powers the lighting system. The stairs have a little give to them, when I step on them they click, and this click winds up a mechanism that slowly unravels to produce energy, As soon as my system works well enough with the stairs, and I've worked all the kinks out, maybe I'll integrate it into my entire floor!

Freeplay Foundation

For 100,000 people who live in Rwanda, the Freeplay Foundation has invented something called the Lifelight, a lamp powered by renewable energy sources. In Rwanda, normal Kerosene gas lamps are used outside at night and are very dangerous, they can have accidents and start fires, cause harm when touched, and can be consumed accidently with poisonous results. The Freeplay foundation has countered these safety hazards with the Lifelight, which they will distribute among 100,000 inhabitants of… Continue

2020 Dinner

In the year 2020, I'll probably be having dinner with my wonderful wife and perhaps my youngster kid, and we'll be eating similarly to what we eat today. That is, unless we move to France where they serve the right size portions. Hopefully we'll be able to make better informed decisions about what we eat due to upgraded technology, which helps us balance our daily meals with a strict nutritional diet that keeps us all fit. I don't think we'll be eating pill sized meals or anything like that,… Continue

Meals on Wheels 2

In my previous post, I informed about a program called Meals on Wheels in which I participate. In that program I help bring hot meals to needy seniors who can't prepare food for themselves. I do this every tuesday, so I am lucky to be able to help more than just once!

Meals on Wheels

In my community, there is a program which I am a part of called Meals on Wheels, which helps bring food to senior citizens who aren't able to prepare food for themselves. The way it works is that there's a kitchen where the delivery team goes to to pick up the meals, some hot and some cold for the next day. Then the delivery team goes out and delivers the meals to the senior citizens who aren't able to make or prepare their own food for themselves. After we're done on our "route", we take the… Continue

2020

In 2020 I hope to be in a successful relationship. I'll probably be just on the dawn of having kids and really be in the thick of doing what I love, which is filmmaking. I'll be making real art that brings people closer to the dreams they envision for themselves while they watch. It'll bring them closer to honesty and justice because of how much work I've put into my movies and they won't shorthanded or sleighted by the man. When Alchemy calls me up I'll be working on one of my movies for a big… Continue

DANGERMOUSE

I'm choosing Brian Burton as my hero, aka DANGERMOUSE. He's a music super producer who works with the best bands in the world to give us music that rejuvenates our spirits, mind and soul. With collaborations ranging from the Gorillaz to James Mercer of the Shins, DANGERMOUSE started as a hip hop sensation and has moved on to reign in a much vaster repertoire of music. He started underground with a Jay Z / Beatles crossover album and has shot through the roof since then in means of talent,… Continue

Simplicity is the Ultimate Sophistication

Do the hard work needed to find a simple solution. As Leonardo da Vinci said, “Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication”—and it is the key to this type of design work.

I agree that many types of work are over complicated. Usually too many hand touch a product, everyone wants to put their stamp on it, and it becomes an amalgamation of what it needs to be, instead of just being what it's supposed to be. When helping out, or doing any sort of satisfying work that requires problem… Continue

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
