A crash course in changing the world.
780 million people don't have access to an improved water source. Therefore women and children are often forced to travel long distances to the nearest body of water to collect water. This exact them physical hardships from the journey, as well as a daily process that takes up an immense amount of time.
The RainPort is a self-sustained and portable rainwater harvesting and filtration system. It is independet of any existing infrastructrure and self-sustained through the use of energy provided by a solar panel and a hand-pump. The RainPort can be used in areas of the world where either a proper roof and gutter system is not available to catch water. The RainPort allows the water to come to the villagers and not the villagers to the water.
