A crash course in changing the world.
"Erik!" yelled Alchemy from across a dark room, but I couldn't be bothered.
Nothing but the computer screen to light my face. I was deep within my own world as I put the finishing touches on the final press release of what had been a long and tedius campaign. The "DiHydrogen Oxide! Die Hydrogen Fusion!" campaign had succeeded late that night in the signing of a peace treaty concerning water rights between two nuclear powers. First thing in the morning my words would once again allow the world to sleep peacefully at night. It was hard knowing a world disaster had been averted and my PR prowess was to thank, but no one would know my identity. It was like watching a beautiful woman in a long red dress walking out of the room, pausing a moment to look back, wink, and never be seen again. I gritted my teeth as I hit send.
"Alchemy, what you got?" I geared back.
"You gotta check these numbers, the Tokyo Food Crisis has hit full force!"
It looked as though I'd be joining Alchemy in the front lines this time. We walked with heavy feet out of the complex as the lights shut off one by one behind us. The Jet was fueled up and ready...
"Nihon ha subarashii kuni desu," Alchemy grinned
"ame futte chi katamaru..."
