Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

To begin with, being a part of this global challenge has been both absolutely thrilling, but also quite difficult in that I was challenged each week to look beyond my current set of circ**stances which mainly involved the activities geared toward me attaining my Honours degree here in South Africa. This experience undoubtedly opened my eyes to what is really happening in the world, outside the bubble that is varsity life, especially in the small town where Rhodes University is located. Being able to gather more in depth information on critical social issues, and suggesting possible was of tackling them in the future has really been beneficial to me, and I hope to the network as well...

To continue with the fight for women and women’s issues, one of the social issues that the network could tackle in Season two could be that of availing human rights to all on earth as much as possible, especially with the issue of finding ways to end or curb female genital mutilation in parts of Africa and elsewhere where these atrocities are still being practiced. By engaging Evoke agents and lending a hand to the global institutions such as the United Nations or the World Health Organisation on this issue, I believe that strides may be taken in making this issue topic and convincing those that perform this ritual to desist by opening their eyes to how the practice affects women and quite possibly their reproductive capabilities.

Another possible topic that the network could work on could be answering the question of where our food today really comes from, and who controls it. By this I mean is the current food and oil crisis we are facing globally really as severe as it seems, or are their certain giant organisations that are controlling the food supply and where excess food goes e.g using millions of tonnes of corn as cattle feed instead of leaving it for human consumption given that cows are traditionally meant to eat grass, not maize! The issue of food, despite season one having briefly touched on this, is a hot topic; the results of which could prove beneficial and an eye opener for people and governments alike in the sense that the truth about what we eat and how it is truly produced will be brought to light. I do however appreciate the fact that there will be organisations that would not want this type of information out for the public to know as it could drive down sales or some other business related element, but the fact that consumers are becoming more and more conscious and questioning these issues justifies this topic and the need to delve more into it.

A suggestion for season two coming from someone born and raised in Africa would be find topics that are suited to African citizens, thst is, instead of discussing something and leaving it at that, present a topic that will actually come to life for the people in the selected region, be it Africa, Brazil or France. I guess, to effect the more plausible and feasible solutions to each mission would be for the Evoke authorities to present their and our most convincing findings to the particular government or branch of government where the mission is situated to find lasting solutions to the problems currently being faced. This I feel will encourage more people to join the network if they can see that their contributions will in fact make a change in one form or another, and not remain merely as blog post on the internet.

The evoke power I used to solve this week’s task was spark along with vision for the future of the game as well as envisioning the possible impact this game could have on the affected region if steps are taken to effect change where it is needed.

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
