March 10, 2020 - Dinner Plans

Leaving my fellow Evoke Agents, and friends, in Japan wasn't easy. There never seems to be enough time to catch up while secretly saving a country from famine. But, it is good to be home. The electric rail brings me virtually to my door-step, and my sons greet me to bring my bags into our home. A deep breath of fresh air validates that I'm home, and life is good. As my boys hurry my bags inside, I take a moment to remove some dead leaves from the plants on our front porch. The piles of snow… Continue

Acting to Improve Food Security

They say charity needs to start at home. To complete this part of the Food Security Mission, I needed to get REAL LOCAL - my own back yard.

With enough fertile land to grow some of my own food, and a desire to become more self-sufficient and able to help others, starting my own garden was an easy decision to make. Being an Evoke Agent, and needing to complete this mission helped to get my gears in motion.

In Central Upstate New York, the weather can turn ugly and cold before… Continue

Food Security Recon in Central Upstate New York

I have located the Food Bank of Central New York. It is located at 6970 Schuyler Road, in East Syracuse, New York. They have a website at www.foodbankcnv.org. I took a drive to the location and talked with some of the folks there, to gain a better understanding of our local needs, and how I might help.

I gathered quite a bit of information during my visit. There was information about the… Continue

Vision for the future: March 2020

[Vision for the future: March 2020]

As the board meeting for Upstate New York's Network (UPNY.net) finishes in the CyberCede tower in the city of Syracuse, NY, I draw a long deep breath of satisfaction for the work that has been accomplished in helping the Upsate New York economy recover. I walk toward the window-wall and look out over all of the green roof-tops surrounding the tower. Far below, I can see that the Segway and electric horse lanes are congested with traffic, and I'm… Continue

I'm actually a little bummed that I get a radically different web page, while using my iPhone.

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
