One area that I feel a need to understand better is the business models for impacting social innovation. Learn1: I was struck by "if somebody already invented it, you don’t have to" and the morass we currently have with patent issues. Certain countries like India have decided not to fully recognize patents on lifesaving drugs - I believe they only allow a patent on a process to create it which then companies can vary in order to avoid "infringing" based on the law of the land.
