Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

This week I supported an organisation called Global Grassroots to help women in Rwanda to get educated. Rwanda is a country traumatized by a terrible genocide in 1994. Before, gender equality and empowering women was not on the agenda of the policy. Many people - particularly men- died during the genocide. Many women were left - abused or mutilated but with the chance to shoulder responsibility. Altough the nation began to empower women it is still not easy for Rwandan women. A lack of education and poverty makes them dependent.
Old habits die hard - but growing up with new idead can make a difference. Therefore an important issue is to empoer women by educating them. Global Grassroots is an organisation which provides schools, teachers and the equipment to educate women. Just by donating 20USD I was able to provide chalk for one year.
In 2020 I think the situation of Rwandan women has improved. A progress can already be seen right now. By educating women one gives them the opportunity to learn how to write, read and calculate. Therefore women are able to to business, read signs, get bank accounts and more. I already read a story from a former student of Global Grassroots who was able to open her own salon. In 2020 I think that more women got the opportunity to open their own business like a bakery or were able to get the jobs they wanted to. Literacy is an important condition to become independant and to get along in life very well. I imagine that i will be much easier for women to do ordinary things like doing their groceries, drive with the bus or go see a doctor because they finally are able to read signs. They are also able to run a business because they now can read contracts or sign a contract. Therefore I think women in 2020 have two big advantages: they are able to manage their everyday life much more easier and got te opportunity to decide what they want to do with their lifes. I also think that educating women has an impact on the economy of Rwanda. Women are able to work and educated women will raise awareness that it is important to get educated. Maybe one can already see a change in values and maybe one day it will be as natural as in developed countries to be able wo read, write and calculate.

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
