Two days prior to Water Day 2020, there is a connection workshop(also online), ran much like TED where people speak for 5-10 minutes to introduce what their organization does and how it helps solve the world's water crisis. This is a networking time for all organizations to get to know their peers. A contact card listing all of the organizations and phone/email is given to each participating organization. After sessions there is contact time where groups in similar regions have time to talk. The final project of this workshop is a block of time set aside for each organization (by region/state/country) to talk with others working in the same area and give the organizers a map and chart listing where work is done and to what extent.
On Water Day 2020: in 1-3 major cities per country:
Tables with "vendors" (groups that support/create/aid in water relief) are in groups in grid lines. One lap top(no paper-cut down on waste) per vendor is available for interested people to sign up to receive info online or enlist their support (physical or financial)
Speakers, videos, and photo journals are displayed on several stages by region/state/country so interested people can find the region they are looking to participate in.
Time is given for vendors to have a presentation and mingle with the crowd of interested people to look for volunteers and educate others.
Water Day 2020 is on satellite to connect people online and at satellite locations so those not able to travel to the main locations can participate and allow all to hear the vendors' presentations. Projections can be done on sheets/walls/screens/sides of buildings.
Focus is given to water waste (faucet on when brushing teeth), water usage (how much it takes to produce a pound of beef, etc.), and the need to clean water throughout the world.
