at money only can work when two requirements are fulfilled:
1. Money must have the same value for everybody
2. The value of money must be visible
The first point, I think, is achieved. Of course you can by nearly nothing for 1 € in Europe but you can do your wh*** buying for one week with 1 € in Africa. But over large areas the first point is fulfilled. And for the moment it isn’t very important for the poor Africans that they…

Hillmar Kopper a, in my opinion, infamous manager, formerly chief executive of the Deutsche Bank AG, called liablitites of 50 million D-Mark, peanuts.
Meaning that this is not a noteworthy amount of money. This incident occured in 1994. As I heard of that I just had two questions in mind: What is the value of money? If 50.000.000 D-Mark are peanuts, do we need money at all?

While surfing the web about the future of money I came across pages that arranges loans between private people. I think that is a really good idea. The banks can provide companies with money; people can provide each other with money. As in the moment you get very little return when you put your money on the bank whereas the banks get very cheap money from the central banks. Also a credit is still not cheap. The banks make a lot of money.
