A crash course in changing the world.
Ten years from now I will be working in some US embassy around the world. Yes the US will be involved with any crisis because we think we have to be. I see myself daily going to work to protect the interest of the US and its citizens in this country, although I have to remember it is not my home.

Larry Page is certainly a social innovator. He is the co-founder and CEO of Google. His innovation has made a huge impact on socialization in the modern world. I choose Larry Page because he had the genius to take the people into a new realm. To keep up with him I am watching the Stock market for further rises in Google shares showing further profitability of this company and its continued influence.

Don't fight culture, we should accept others culture and no try to change them. We all can learn from each other given the open minded acceptance. Never should anyone resort to violence to make others accept them or to change others.
Everyone does not have to be like us to co-exist in the world.

A message to the world::: Use proper fuel methods! Our world is becoming polluted by the gas from our cars and the smoke from factories. Our ozone layer cannot take much more until it evaporates from damage and can no longer protect us from the sun. Try driving hybrid cars and finding a safer way to make factories useful

The Dead Sea scrolls are valuable and are said to be missing parts of the Bible. Preserved for over 2000 years they were not discovered till the 1940s. They are a crucial link to the past. To preserve these I would lock them in a vault only to be accessed whenever called upon for…

A traditntal success story would be the one of mark Zuckerberg who founded Facebook. He was a Harvard student who dropped out and worked his way to the top and is now one of the worlds wealthiest men and still lives in apartment sleeping in a mattress on the floor.

In 2020 San Fransisco should have a good resilience play by providing back up shelters to support those who's homes were destroyed in the disaster. Also it should have vaults of food available for back up. As well as metal rods to be inserted into buildings to save the house during an earthquake.

My city, San Fransico does not have a resilience plan, as a result if an earthquake was to strike the bay area it would not be good. There would be no backup plan the only thing it would want to do is re-build.

The best way to share info today in a crisis scenario is by social media. Today, 90% of society has a Facebook or twitter and from personal experience it is very clear today that this is the fastest way to share information

Hopefully in 2020 Women will have no discrimination no matter what. I have never seen the big deal in why women can't do certain things. In my eyes any human can accomplish anything they want to. In 2020 I hope there is a widespread equality for all genders.

Every tree you cut down plant another two. Everything you were taught about the environment when you were little is true. The environment is way too precious to keep on using it as if we have another planet to expend. Everything that we have if finite and we need to treat it as such. Our little blue marble is starting to become a grey marble and we need to stop that from happening.

Its simple, a book is the best answer to keeping the wisdom of an indigenous people. For example, Plato's republic has survived for thousands of years and the bible is a perfect example of this too.

The Japanese constantly hunt whales and sharks. That's not the problem however, the problem is the types of whales and sharks that the Japanese hunt down. They hunt animals that are close to the endangered species list or are already on it. They keep saying that they are only tracking them down and killing them in order to study their habits but anybody can see that's not true. The lesson here would be that humanity can't think that they are more important and it is more important to make a…

Since the city of Charleston is a huge coastal city with a big export import business, Charleston should have anything to do with water. First off it should have desalinization plants and anything that would treat water to provide to its people. Also it should increase its port city opportunities to the people of the city therefore creating more jobs. A big plus for the city would be reopening the shut down naval station that would bring back even more jobs to the city.

THE city of charleston does many things for the developing lifestyle. They provide water treatment centers and recycling centers that will reuse waste so as to not pollute the environment.

When I am 100 years old the traditional knowledge I would like to be retained would be the different types of martial arts I have learned. I feel that martial arts not only keep the body in great physical shape but when taken seriously and applied to life help one lead a more peaceful life. With the increase in technology many different types of hand to hand combat have been pushed aside. This type of training brings people together.

The case study I found was on the Inuit way of hunting seal. Due to the recent increase in demand for seal fat the market has become increasingly flooded. What was once 100 dollars a pelt is now luck to get 15. The way the Inuit traditionally hunt is considered humane. The way that companies who harvest their pelts conduct hunts offends many animal rights activists. This shows how the indigenous knowledge has worked for years and is now in danger.

I chose Julia Watson as my social innovator hero and shadow. She is showing herself to be a leader in biodiversity conservation community. She is helping support local conservation communities and inhabitants of cultural landscapes. She does this by fostering relationships and building allies that support each other giving maximum development impact "with minimum impact pressure". She truly is making a change and is someone to look up in this community of heroes.

I learned the secret to create "transparent" technologies. There is no set boundaries to the innovation that someone can put forth for the greater good. Who says that you can't build children's playground equipment such as swings that could power a water pump to a village somewhere. Or that we can't create windmills that are inside of the spaces in mountainous areas to power and assist the local people. I truly believe that their are so many technologies that are right in front us out in the…

Recently I read an article how it would take solar panels filling only about a fraction of the African dessert to power the world. Keep in mind that this is according to energy consumption today making this an amazing achievement. This is information according to DESERTEC and if any of this is true, it would be amazing to power any future technology and cities this way.
