Bill McKibben and 350.org have called for an international work day to stop climate change on October 10, 2010. I have proposed to him that there should 350.org should provide an online solutions architecture in order to promote and support those practical demonstrations of climate solutions on October 10 and to make sure they continue after that day.

Though our urgentevoke network is more than 19000 strong we are spread out thinly in our realworld.To gain further momentum it might be an idea to organize flashmobs in gameworlds like World of Warcraft or Covert Ops. I've left this mission till almost last, because traditionally I'm not much of a maker. A doer, yes, but my carpentry, pottery, woodsmithing, and metalworking skills are all sub-par. The best thing I can do is build a computer from component parts, or grow plants.
Building a computer didn't seem like an appropriate way of representing indigenous technology, but maybe growing a plant would. Obviously a plant itself isn't durable, but a pot sure is!
