Mission Three - Imagine

It is Oct. 6, 2020 and my daughter's 30th birthday! I am very excited, because she will be flying home from Africa to spend her birthday with us.

After work I will run home to do a hurried last-minute cleaning of our house (which runs on a combination of macrobiofuel for the HVAC and solar power for the lights, ect.). Then, I will rush to the bakery in my car (which runs on the fulvic acid from humate) to pick up the cake. By the time I get home and prepare the meal, she will just be…

Haiti Water project

The Haiti water project is a organisation that want to provide clean water for communities in Haiti. One well or cistern can provide fresh water for around 1,000 people.

A little village in Haiti, for example, lost about 20 people because of ch***ra. The village has access to a river, but there is no clean drinking water. Thanks to the Haiti water project the village got a cistern to clean the water. People are now able to drink save water!

University of Cambridge's solution for the Hult Global Case Challenge

Water.org is a fairly large and influential organization that launches many water projects around Africa to supply clean water and build water infrastructure in developing countries. A challenge called "Hult Global Case Challenge" was launched to provide ideas for the funding of Water.org projects. The students of the University of Cambridge have come up with a very creative solution for the funding of water projects in Africa for Water.org. The plan included using mobile phone use as a…

Live like the Globe does

Here in the USA, we take having water for granted. We know that if we forget to bring some water, we can always buy bottled water in a vending, machine store, etc.

I would prohibit the sale of all water bottles for a week leading up to the day. Therefore, Americans will appreciate the necessity of water and will hopefully become more grateful for it.

Thousands of people die each year because they do not have access to clean water. A small tribulation that makes water a… Continue

Being an Advocate

Sometimes I think we, as a society, sweep things under the rug because we are uneducated or prefer to be ignorant. I believe that knowledge and education are the key to understanding and creating innovation.

When I discovered the water.org website for my LEARN objective, I came across tons of interesting information and facts that inspired me to educate my peers.

Sometimes we don't feel an urgence to solve problems because we are unaware of their existence. Such was the… Continue

Breaking: New Currency in the Works for Phoenix

Early this morning, a concealed group of traders gathered in downtown Phoenix, Arizona to begin negotiations on how to unveil their latest creation. These mysterious scientists have reportedly found a way to reclaim a natural resource that was previously abundant, but no longer exists anywhere in the world. They say it was once used to sustain all life on Earth, but now it will be a new form of currency for the city that will improve public health, spark innovation, and facilitate economic…

Spreading the Word About Water: Evan Abramson and Carmen Lopez

Crowdsourced funding is an up and coming phenomenon that I am interested in. I went to Kickstarter to see what projects people were starting related to water crises. There, I found Evan Abramson's and Carmen Lopez' doc**entary about how Jean Charles Island in Louisiana, USA is rapidly eroding into the Gulf of Mexico. Since I find this topic very interesting and think it is something that a lot of people can learn from, I decided to chip… Continue

World Water Day 2020

Our challenge for World Water Day 2020 is to live a typical day, but simultaneously witness how much water we use in our everyday routines and create a reusable water source for the next day. To accomplish this, we all will put stoppers in our bathtubs, kitchen and bathroom sinks, basins, or whatever we might run water through on a daily basis. Starting in the morning and ending at bedtime, every time you use water on this day, be sure that it collects in your repositories. Individuals are… Continue

Crowdsourcing Pure Water

My challenge for everyone on World Water Day 2020 would be to host a classroom challenge across the world asking students of all ages, grades and nationalities to create their own inventions, projects or ideas to purify, filter, access, recycle, collect or transport water or otherwise address a water crisis issues.

Then on Water Day, there would be massive worldwide events where the students could demonstrate their projects. Maybe some would get picked up for funding in places where… Continue

Uncultured Project FTW

For my ACT4 challenge, I spread the word about the Uncultured Project, which is basically just this one guy (Shawn Ahmed) who moved to Bangladesh to see if he could help. He uses the power of the web and crowdsourcing to generate funds and interest for life saving projects like providing clean water, mosquito netting medicines and other things to the people he lives and works with.

Nerdfighters Unite for Clean Water

Here's an awesome video about a guy who called on the power of Nerdfighters across the country to help him provide access to clean water for a village. The money they raised built a pond sand-filter that provides clean water to people who had been previously forced to drink either unfiltered pond water or heavy-metal-contaminated well water.

Imagine4: Happy Water Day!

On Water Day 2020, as the sun rises, EVOKE agents all over the developed world are setting up wells. The wells are huge stands in the centers of towns where volunteers wait with different sized weights. Hundreds of thousands of people who have running water in their houses are going to use the wells today.

As the sun rises a few adventurous souls arrive first. They come with their buckets and the volunteers help to load them with weights. For each person in their family the participant… Continue

World Water Day 2020

It will be a surprising sight to see a river in the Sahara (big enough to locate on Google Earth), but this is exactly what will be on the news in 2020. That's because it's World Water Day.

A humanmade "river" will be created that consists entirely out of clean water (in celebration of inventions like the Lifesaver Bottle (www.… Continue

World Water Day Event

This would be an event similar to a sponsored marathon run, in which competitors would get sponsors to donate based on the amount of water that they can move. The event would be a water transportation race, where the goal is to move as much clean drinking water as possible, using methods currently being employed in Africa. This will spread awareness by showing what people currently have to go in some parts of the world, to obtain something as essential and fundamental as clean drinking water.… Continue

Imagine 4, Global Water Day

The sun hangs low above the Pacific. Wisps of clouds begin to take on tinges of orange and red. Silhouettes, lit from behind by the setting sun, dot the horizon for miles in each direction. Each one holds in their hands a different tool, a different toy. Some hold hula hoops, some swords or staves. Some spin nunchaku, some poi, or balls on chains.

All stand in silence, waiting to hear the cue to begin. Then, as the sun touches the water, a song comes from the huge crowd on the beach.… Continue

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
