Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

The first thing that needs to be done is change focus from the virtual world to the real world. People should be spending more time going out there solving problems instead of typing blog posts.

More effort must be taken in advertising across the globe. Agents should be paid to go from school to school to give presentations. More focus is needed on recruiting school children, and bringing them out of their comfort zone).

Which greater challenges and social problems should the EVOKE network tackle?

The actual world threatening problems are too vast for a small network of about 100 active agents to handle, though we could make small scale changes.

Rating 1-10 on how much action can be taken

  • Nuclear Threat -1 (Ideas)
  • Overpopulation -4 (Ideas,Awareness Spread, Small scale Action)
  • Disease -5 (Ideas, Awareness spread, Large scale Action)
  • Ecology collapse -7 (Ideas, Awareness spread, Large scale Action, Chain Reaction)
  • Human Rights -4 (Ideas,Awareness Spread, Small scale Action)
  • Corruption -2 (Ideas,Awareness Spread)
  • Poverty -4(Ideas,Awareness Spread, Small scale Action)

Where in the world should the network try to build up new Evoke communities?
Who would you encourage to play season 2?

Everywhere and everyone but special focus should be on schoolchildren(The next generation)

How would you change the game for season 2?What new tools do you want as an evoke agent?

-Jane should play the game with us

-A way to get blogs posts get more attention. In Agent profiles, there are 3 new boxes to be made:
  1. 5 latest blog posts
  2. 5 most popular blog posts
  3. 5 Need feedback posts(Decided by agents)

-New Agent Welcome Chat and Help Chat(Mentors, Mods, etc work round the clock on this)

-Mods are paid. Whether they want it or not.

-Translation onto other languages

-How the facebook 'like' button can be used:
  1. Evidence for the completion of a mission decided by other agents .Each mission needs 5 'likes' to qualify.
  2. The agents give feedback, and if their feedback is 'liked' they get power generator points.
(Killing two birds with one stone)

-Power votes should be changed based on:

-Network of communities should be established: city profile, school profile, etc along with agent profile so agents can easily find and participate in nearby projects.

-Searchable Evokation list by location something resembling this but better:

-Strictly age-intelligent censorship (videos, pictures and language)

-Instead of banning agents, they should be 'quarantined' and judged by community voting. (Exception for bots and spammers)

-Permanent link to E4E and Delta team

-E-Magazine of best ideas made in the end, like A.V's literature project and made available in schools all over the world.

-World bank should not have a complete monopoly over our content

-An Evoke Petitions list

-Guilds having factions

-Better widgets on profiles like blogger, polls, facebook connect, etc

-Better rewards, 1000$ is proving next to useless in every evokation

-Preference agents list in the message system to reduce spam(Messages by these agents are displayed in a separate folder)

-Adding all these features yet keeping the interface simple and elegant

Why would you come back for a second season? What more would you want from the experience?

(I haven't decided yet whether or not I would come back for the next season)
I want all the things listed above.

$1000 is a wh*** lot of money to some people. It's all relative, of course.

I made $700 a year last year, so I'm definitely skilled in making the most of the money that's available to me, even in a very high-cost-of-living area like Massachusetts. And in this digital age, overhead costs can be seriously minimized. While in areas that aren't so wealthy, $1000 would go a really long way...

And really, I think that the rewards of encouragement, connections, and intellectual support are the most important ones when it comes to social innovation, not money.

I miss the voting chart! it was here 2 seconds ago when I gave you +1 Courage for expressing what you think in a very assertive way :-)

Agh, I should have said "in areas that aren't so expensive". You can have very little money and be wealthy, as long as things are affordable...

"And really, I think that the rewards of encouragement, connections, and intellectual support are the most important ones when it comes to social innovation, not money. "
this is what people from developed nations always say
though they always contradict themselves too
" $1000 is a wh*** lot of money to some people. "

I don't think there is any agreement on things in "the developed nations". Koshy, we in developed nations argue about what's important more than anyone, I imagine. :-)

My point is that money is ultimately irrelevant, as it's just an illusion. It merely acts as a middleman for working with people who aren't completely convinced that they will be better off if they help others do good things by offering their extra resources.

relativism ultimately leads to nihilism
for instance - this comment of yours
Comment by Turil Cronburg 30 minutes ago OK, I'll try a different tactic, since I'm still not seeing any concrete ideas about evidence. Who decides whether an attempt is serious or have some effort?

Also, as far as Evoke is concerned, how do you feel about the censorship that has gone on? (I've been censored by another player, and other players have been censored by the admins of the game.)
if everything is relative
thre's nothing called censorship or everything goes through some kind of censorship
in the same way the idea of most important doesnt exist
nothings important
relatively speaking, your idea that money is only an illusion would therefore be of no importance

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
