I am beginning to watch a Zotero tour video here is the link

here is a shorter video

It seems like Zotero is an extremely novel and useful tool in recording your mission research. Any research that an agent would do could be organized…

I found Aviva Presser Aiden online and discovered the work she is doing on getting electricity from dirt using fuel cells. http://www.lebone.org/
This is fascinating technology and I'm very interested in anything that produces power in an unconventional way.
While Lebone is focused on providing this technology to isolated communities in Africa, I would hope that research is also being done to bring this technology… Continue

This was not my idea but i feel the need for a little humor and silliness to add to the amazing ideas that people have.
Scientists around the world are clamoring to design inexpensive biochips to quickly test for a variety of
diseases. But no one has been able to make a similarly small and
inexpensive
power source.
Lee and his team of researchers at Singapore's Institute of Bioengineering and Nanotechnology have
tackled this problem by using the very…

If you want to enter the dragons den, it's wize to tame the dragon first, especially if you want to use that den as a fire extinguishing business.
FACT: In the womb, we are assigned GENITALIA AFTER we are assigned/recognised as human - which is why you can only get to see the sex of your baby from about 25 weeks.

It is useful in these episodes to look for words in the dialogue balloons that are in bold type. A Google search on those words or terms can show up some interesting threads that you may find useful in putting together your own ideas.

Alright, powering something used every day? Well nearly everyone it seems has a cellphone. A lot of us are trying to use bicycles in place of cars for in-town transportation and we all need lights on our bikes, especially for evening/night travel. Most of us have heard of dynamo power sources, now they have one that replaces the hub of your front tire! No more noisy generator that rubs against the wheels!
See…

I have recently been very interested in alternative energy, and specifically ways that people living in an urban environment can begin helping with the global energy crisis. Since moving to Toronto, one of the things which has surprised me most is how windy it is (especially on a 15th floor apartment). With a great balcony and a very windy location, I have decided to try and run some experiments to start creating alternative energy sources that are small and easy to implement for people living…

I would like to invent a power generator that would collect into an electric battery some of the energy produced while riding a bike. It would have to be extremely light-weight, easy to attach to the back tire, and aerodynamic. There are a couple of places to start with this idea.
Look closely at this image. This solution has a stationary bike.
The Pedal Power Generator is
almost what I'm envisioning. I would love to…

as a martial artist, i tend to practice most days. while this activity provides benefits both physical and spiritual, the energy spent could be stored and used as an energy source. my proposal is a sort of gym filled with devices that capture this energy. the following is an initial list of devices that might prove useful.
1. heavy bags and striking pads that collect energy.
i got this idea from sOccket; if it works for footballs (soccer balls), it could also…

Here is probably one of the best ideas on the planet :-)
I am sure people are working on this, but it needs to become available to the public and not be expensive.
I propose an outlet, like the ones we use in our homes, that can be portable and taken outside. It is very rare that we work outside in the summer when it isn't super hot outside or not sunny. This type of condition would be perfect for my solar plug idea.
If we could make a battery powered system that ran…

This is partly a response to a comment by Ezra in my blog "
Money is information, but does it want to be free?" in which I asked that question, and this blog will provide my answer. Part of Ezra's argument regarding money is in "
An Irrelevant Problem in a Resource-based Economy"
If I understand correctly, Ezra claimed that money was invented to provide a…

Today we're celebrating my favorite day of the year - the BAIA day (being as I am).
on this beautiful day nobody is working, and everybody is out on the street -
meeting one another and enjoying each other's company.
why is it a special day?
because on this day people are doing the one single thing they want the most,
but never dare to do during the rest of the year - be themselves,…

When we create a new source of power we should not only think about creating energy but also put into account what else it can do.
I thought of a pen. With this special pen you can place two AA or AAA size rechargeable batteries inside the shaft so that when you write the motion of the ball at the tip will recharge the batteries.
I have not come across anything like this. Please let me know if you do.

I know, odd title right? Let me begin this article with a brief explanation on what a TI civilization is. Type I, or T1, is part of the Kardashev scale. The Kardashev scale refers to how much power a civilization can harness or produce, going from Type I to Type III. Type I is a civilization that can harness all of the power available on a given planet, Type II all the power produced by a star, and Type III all the power produced by all the stars in a galaxy. Some scientists have placed…

There's a lot of Texas currently unused - a blasted wasteland of baked earth, actually, not great for farming or living and the land is going cheap.
My hope for my family reunion with in-laws in Texas is that we spend it at a resort completely powered by solar farms that have taken over the unused parched lands of this state. Where no food can be grown, where no animal or habitat can flourish (possibly bc of climate change) we are at least harvesting the sun to power our air…

A few years ago I was a student at university, in the design school. Though as students we had access to quite a large number of the PCs, Macs and other computer equipment that we needed to complete our assignments. However, laptops were a necessity for the majority of people on our course due to the need to carry around large amounts of digital information.
Though the UK is a northern country and the university is both close to the coast and near the river which splits the city in…
