Well now

I think you should ask me some questions. Or should I follow the herd and feed to an already cluttered discussion on unoriginal ideas. Go on, engage me. I won't waste my time on "busywork".

It puts it all into perspective.

I think that if we all think about how would we live on $2 a day, or $60 a month. How would that be possible. I mean if rent for the most part is $500, depending on where you live. I think that most people can't fathom true poverty until they realize that some people on Earth live on less than $30 a month.

Innovation comes from constraint

A lot of innovation arises when there is a need resulting from a shortage of resources. This is the science of economics that is developed on this very fact. Innovation looks to address the problems created by shortage by finding solutions with methods that are cheaper, more effective and easier to implement.

LEARN 1: A Walk In Your Shoes.

"Problems are not always obvious from afar (You really have to live for

a while in a society where no one has currency larger than a $1 bill to

understand the importance of money via mobile phones.)"

You never really know what someone's life is like until you have

experienced it for yourself. As Americans, most of us have grown up with our basic needs met along with thousands of luxuries that make our lives easier. Since we are raised with objects such as microwaves,… Continue

Constraint - My First Blog Post!

One of the secrets I learned on my mission was that constraint encourages innovation. That is- NOT having all of the tools you think you need to do a job can actually cause you to create new uses for new tools.

It reminds me a bit of the scene in Apollo 13 in which they have to figure out how to insert a square object into a round h*** (or maybe it was the other way around... or maybe I'm totally oversimplifying the crisis)... My point is that they did it. Even thought it at first… Continue

The Freedom of Constraint

"Innovation (often) comes from constraint (If you’ve got very few

resources, you’re forced to be very creative in using and reusing them.)"

There are far more people in the world that want positive social change than ever achieve it and though in part the reason for this waste of potential for altruism is due to the structural limitations of many societies, there is a far simpler, more insidious reason that so many well meaning individuals never make good on their desire to help… Continue

Mission 1 Learn Objective

Forgive me if this sounds improper.
Some events taken place have been taken care of by redoing what has happened in a different manner, directly fighting it be it something of that sort, or find a way to direct attention away from it.
This is not my entire entry, this is a written statement…

My first blog - on social innovation

"Innovate on existing platforms (We’ve got bicycles and mobile phones in

Africa, plus lots of metal to weld. Innovate using that stuff, rather

than bringing in completely new tech.)" really struck my mind, as a lot of times, we are trying to "improve" someone else life by introducing new technology that may not be relevant to the society. That's probably why certain companies can come out with innovative products like the Post-it note from 3M that is such a simple product, but took… Continue

Talk to the right people

"Talk to the right people" is what I consider most important because unless you are able to identify the problem you are unable to make an impact. By talking to the people you can see what their obstacle truly is. Once the obstacle is know you are finally able to help overcome the…

Water for People Canada Donation

As much as I would really like to volunteer for this cause, I just do not have the time to do so. However, as was suggested in the mission description, we as Evoke Agents (along with everyone else) can still make a difference by donating money instead of time.

So that's what I did. I took a strong liking to the 'Water for People' organization which has introduced the PlayPump along with many other… Continue

Shadow Hereos.

I've picked up Jason Aramburu as my hero to shadow. He is a Princeton Graduate,a New Yorker.

Bio-char is when you turn bio-waste into compost(fertilizer),as well as a replacement for coal (energy use) and through these application we able reduce carbon emissions to the atmosphere .This idea seem to me easy to apply - relevant, environmentally friendly and economically viable;I believe that an idea that meets these criteria.

I've joined re:char - (the company…

In 10 years, I will be in my own home. I will be working at the biggest law firm in the United States. I might have a child, a beautiful child. A daughter named Tanae Marje Hiers. I will also be married, precisely to the father of my child! What am I doing to change the world in my daily life? I am a lawyer, trying my best to put the worst criminals in jail so that they no longer cause harm to the world. Continue

My Favorite Secret

My favorite secret was the one about Economic sustainability. It said something about providing financial motivation to continue the growth and empowering people by improving their economic and or social status. The reason I chose this secret because this one made the most sense to me. If people are provided the motivation to… Continue

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
