Here we are celebrating a graduation in the year 2020. Well, the air I breath is not real, there has been oxygen added to improve my circulation, lowering cancer rates across the country, and reducing the load on hospitals around the world. So, as the solar powered air scrubbers on the roof's ridge-line send air through the oxygen sleeves in the attic, I'll set up the bar for the party. I rented oxygen canisters from the hospital, I'll take 'em back for the deposit next week. Kids…

My fellow agent Ternura Rojas has added her light and intelligent voice, in English and in Spanish, to many of the posts, discussions, and message boxes in Evoke. Finishing all her rune assignments, sharing many discussions, photos and videos, working, and research, Ternura also found time to keep agents informed of developments on Evoke in her runner line, and…

What I have learned is this:
-- One: I simply don't have the energy to keep up with a game such as this and even understand just how it works, which is unfortunate.
-- Terra preta. I did learn about that, and the implications proved mindblowing. I'm duly grateful.
I remain skeptical whether games such as Urgent Evoke will help us solve these crises in time to avoid a collapse or even cushion it. If I have to eat those words, it will be a very satisfying meal. :)…

Hello Agents,
Unfortunately I didn't have much time working at the development of the EVOKE network (while working at this project), but the things I saw so far definitely showed the incredible (real world) potential that EVOKE can unleash. It really is and will be an alternate reality game.
I want to
EVOKE a PRIVATE SCHOOL FOR THE POOR in a slum in ABIDJAN, IVORY COAST.
I attached the project plan with a description of the school…

Being high school students, even with such an amount of money, we realize that our powers and resources are limited. We have time and ability constraints. So it took us quite a while to come up with something big enough to make a difference but definitely probable.…

Section 1 – The Social Venture
The Venture
Agriculture today is financed much like any other big business: with a view of investment that only includes financial return. This approach, however, is limited in scope and leads to major negative environmental and social externalities. With few sources of capital available to smaller players in the sector, and with an increasingly competitive marketplace, large-scale agriculture is increasingly squeezing out smaller scale…

Today is a day when we are opening a new center for development of low
income families. Families that escaped from cities to try to live in nature with some peace inside the forest. This one is at the west region of Brazil, nearby some
indiginous' communities, and we've learned with them how to use all the
solar electricity and how to use the energy power that comes from the
rain. Those Indigenous people really know how to live there, and we were helping
them on how…

I mean, me and everyone, right?
But what Tim's doing is especially meaningful to me, because he's a force for education in a state that used to have one of the best education systems in the world. The UCs (Berkeley, UCLA, San Diego, Santa Cruz, every jewel in the crown) have been decaying for the last 20 years because of a restructuring in their money base. Property taxes were dropped in the 70s, and so education funds dropped. For a long time, the UCs attempted to combat the pressure…

What new social problems will they tackle?
I think we need to start thinking about prejuduces (sexual, social, racial, cultural and religious).
How do we divide ourselves into "us" and "them". We need to start thinking about how we are similar to each other, instead of our differences. What do we have in common, what are the things that bring us together as communities of…

My granddaughter, learn this from me today.
Water is always precious - we will never reach a day in our future when it is a less precious resource than any of the days in our past - all that changes is the ease with which we can get it.
Learn this from me, and my childhood:
Clay is a great container for water - a good red clay, terracotta or such.
Shape it well (something small enough to…

DETROIT RECOVERY PLAN (Evocation)
The city of Detroit is facing a number of challenges. The city has a very high unemployment rate. Detroit has lost a lot of its population and thus its tax base has been seriously depleted. The public school system is in a shambles. Other big city problems such as crime, drugs etc., also exist. While the situation appears bleak, if not hopeless, there exists a possibility for the implementation of an Evoke which would address many of the above…

My idea is for a child safe-spot network ...
During a crisis, it is not unusual for children to become separated form their parents, lost, or abused.
Our community already has a large number of people who do a great job taking car of children daily.
I would create a network for child-minders. We'd create a list of child-safe spots where lost children can go for safety. a list of the spots would be sent to each…
