This project emphasizes forest management for fuelwood production. This case was in 1998. The forests of Mozambique was isolated from natural resources like soil and water. One of the problems is a lack of organized villages who interact with each other. They wanted to illicit change in three areas-attitude toward outsiders, work with neighbors commercially, and cash producing activities.  People react in panic-enducing situations differently. If it is an outbreak of a disease, it all depends on the severity of the outbreak. I am participating in the How Low Can You Go? Sorority Water Challenge. This is a UF program that challenges UF Panhellenic Community to reduce water usage from February to March. Water is measured weekly and the house with the greatest percent reduction is given 100 points, second place gets 50 points, and 25 points goes to the third place sorority. The sorority with the most total points will receive a $500 donation to the charity of their choice. It is organized by Alachua County…

I learned that there are simple ways to cut down water usage and consumption.

In the bathroom:

• Repair leaky water features; 10 gallons per day are lost to leaks
• Use low-flow shower heads; save 15 gallons of water in a 10 minute shower
• Use your dishwasher; hand washing all dishes usually takes 20 gallons of water compared to 6 gallons used by dishwasher

To act on the problem of food security, I watched A Place at the Table. It showed me the problems of food insecurity in America.It is a 2012 doc**entary that highlighted that 50 million Americans were food insecure. This large figure include children, working people, and college students. 1 in every 2 children need some kind of federal food assistance. I learned that global warming is changing the production of food. The extreme temperatures can have an effect on the amount of food farmers can produce. By 2100, there could be food shortages because of the change in global climate. It could seriously alter food crops in the tropics and subtropics in the coming years.
