I need to get a group together to address and raise awareness on a pandemic online. I would get doctors in research hospitals around the country, then I would get a public relations team involved. These two groups of people would have to work together to effectively translate information into language that people would understand. The PR team would tackle social media releases, press releases, and media coverage. I would want the doctors to log onto one system to release information to other…

Change is a crazy concept that overcomes our life. I my life I have seen the evolution of the internet and the electronic age. I was born in a time where computers and cellphones were not necessary. The opening of the olympics would be a fun day to celebrate. To celebrate the 2020 olympics, I would be watching the opening ceremonies through the internet. The internet this year has revolutionized watching the olympics because you can stream it to any tv screen. I image in 2020 we would get all tv from from the internet. We could pause or play the events. On the internet, we could select what kinds of events we want recorded. We could watch without advertisements and commentators. We can…

The evoke network should tackle women trafficking and slavery still occurring around the world. Evoke should build up a community in Germany because they are one of the most innovation and sustainable country sin the world and would be in a position to change the world. I would encourage other college age students to do this because we are the future of the business world right now and businesses play a key role in changing the environment. The game could be cooler if there were ideas of…

This project emphasizes forest management for fuelwood production. This case was in 1998. The forests of Mozambique was isolated from natural resources like soil and water. One of the problems is a lack of organized villages who interact with each other. They wanted to illicit change in three areas-attitude toward outsiders, work with neighbors commercially, and cash producing activities. They produced change by making three people in charge of project management instead of the usual one.…

People react in panic-enducing situations differently. If it is an outbreak of a disease, it all depends on the severity of the outbreak. Every time people learn of a risk, they temporarily overreact. They evaluate the environment and how at risk they are. They "knee-jerk" reaction protects people from potential crisis. The main problem, which surprises me, is denial, not panic. Because humans are programmed to create a circuit breaker when panic occurs, denial is a useful mask. People who…

The most likely natural disaster is a hurricane. Hurricanes provide many different stages of chaos. Ushahidi would be helpful in my part of the world because it could alert people of potential harm as the storm moves across the state. Play by play on Natural disasters would be helpful to get relief workers to the worst part the storm hit. The streaming in of information from people actually surviving the conditions of the storm would revolutionize the way relief is given. We would collect…

The WomenWatch led me to an article about Bangladesh women fighting for equal rights. It has been at the forefront of the movement even for a under-developed country. Bangladesh has the eight lowest gender gap in politics. I had no idea that Bangladesh is working so hard to decrease the the gender gap. It has had a female head of state for longer than any other country in the world. The number of women in parliament has increased by 10% in twenty years. This political change has grown to…

As I learned about the problems of money across the globe, I felt Mahila Milan could be the next innovation across the globe for credit. Mahila Milan is a credit scheme focussed on the women in poverty in Mumbai in India. It was created in the 1980s to work against the government rule that said government could destroy the shacks on the sides of the road. At first it was an organization to work against the government, but it turned into a way for the "pavement dwellers" to work with the…

To act on the problem of food security, I watched A Place at the Table. It showed me the problems of food insecurity in America. It is a 2012 doc**entary that highlighted that 50 million Americans were food insecure. This large figure include children, working people, and college students. 1 in every 2 children need some kind of federal food assistance. Even in Gainesville, the public schools fund at least 80% of the students' lunches either partially or all of it. The doc**entary…

I learned that global warming is changing the production of food. The extreme temperatures can have an effect on the amount of food farmers can produce. By 2100, there could be food shortages because of the change in global climate. It could seriously alter food crops in the tropics and subtropics in the coming years. Inventors should start to develop ways for crops that can withstand harsher hot temperatures. This can lead to greater food insecurity in some of the poorest part of the world…

My favorite part of Exhibit A is "think like a child – children have no limit to their thinking." I feel that people need to channel their inner child to create fun innovation for world change. People, definitely including me, need to step away from being so serious and have fun with life. Social change can be brought about from any person. All people including children have the means to create change and innovation by simply thinking out of the box. Thinking like a child can help people…
