A crash course in changing the world.
For it's next season, EVOKE should tackle problems related to children - like child slavery or poverty. Although child problems are closely related to world problems in general, they are a special target group who needs a lot of attention. Children are the ones who will built our future and therefore highly important. One has to show them how to live a respectful and useful life. Furthermore EVOKE could tackle problems which are related to globalization. In Europe, there are huge problems…

For me the complete crisis communication was very helpful and informative. I have learned a lot of new things and also things which were really surprising (for example that hating something - like a virus - can help people to handle the situation and to express people`s fears).
But the most interesting aspect for me was the distinction between outrage and hazard. I never thought about this problem in detail but when you think about it, it is almost always the hazard people talk about…

I read an interesting case study on CBNRM about The Sustainable Management Of Prunus Africana In The Mount Cameroon Region.
In the Mt. Cameroon area grows a tree which is called Prunus Africana. Its bark is used to produce drugs by a pharmaceutical company from France. The trading with the bark was the reason why it came to an irresponsible handling with the resources (due to black markets, too much…

I read a lot about different projects on the global giving website. I decided to donate very quickly because I often want to support a project but don't know which one to support. There are a lot of different projects and not every organisation has a good repudation. Global giving convinced me because you can find a lot of infomation, pictures and contacts. Still - there are a lot of opportunities left. In the end, it was a quote from a woman which was crucial for my…

"Had there been no school meals, I would have been married by now."
(Grace, 15)
This quotation is from a school girl in Malawi. On WomenWatch I read about an interesting project from the World Food Programme. First I was confused what the WFP could have to do with empowering woman. The article on WomenWatch said, that one reason why parents send particularly their daughters to…
